장애인의 여가활동 유형화와 유형별 특성 연구: 여가제약을 중심으로 (A Study on the Types of Leisure Activities of the People with Disabilities and the Characteristics of Each Type: Focusing on Leisure Restrictions)

초록

본 연구에서는 장애인의 여가활동을 유형화한 후, 유형별로 나타나는 내재적 제약, 대인적 제약, 구조적 제약 요인을 구별해 냄으로써 장애인의 삶의 질 향상을 위한 보다 정교한 정책개입 지점을 확인하려 하였다. 연구결과, 장애인의 여가활동은 일상휴식형(1유형), 스포츠참여 및 관광형(2유형), 취미오락형(3유형), 적극적 여가참여형(4유형) 및 사회교류형(5유형)으로 유형화할 수 있었다. 일상휴식형의 경우 고령의 중증장애가 두드러졌고, 주로 혼자 여가활동을 하였다. 스포츠참여 및 관광형은 일상휴식을 주로 하지만 관광활동과 스포츠 참여활동을 활발히 하는 유형으로 혼인 중인 비율이 높고 의사결정 주체로 배우자를 선택한 비중이 높았다. 취미오락형(3유형)은 휴식과 취미오락 활동을 함께하는 유형으로 3, 40대가 상대적으로 많고 안면장애, 지적/자폐성 장애의 비율이 높았다. 적극적 여가참여형(4유형)은 유형 중 소득과 학력이 가장 높고, 자존감 및 장애수용도 높았다. 사회교류형(5유형)은 일상휴식과 함께 대외활동이 활발한 유형으로, 여성의 비율이 가장 높았고 여가 동반자로 가족 및 친구를 선택한 비율이 두드러졌다. 이를 통해 장애인을 하나의 동일 인구집단으로 볼 것이 아니라 장애유형을 비롯하여 장애청년, 장애노인, 장애여성 등의 개별적 욕구에 필요한 상이한 정책 개입이 필요함을 확인하였다. 또한 장애인 삶의 질 향상과 여가활성화를 위해 자존감, 장애수용과 같은 대내적 제약요인을 해소하는 것이 동반되어야 하고, 구조적 제약에 있어 장애인의 인식 수준에 맞는 정책의 고민이 필요함을 제안하였다.

영어초록

In this study, after categorizing the leisure activities of the people with disabilities, we tried to identify more sophisticated policy intervention points to improve the quality of life of the people with disabilities by distinguishing the intrapersonal, interpersonal, and structural constraints by type. As a result of the study, the leisure activities for the people with disabilities were classified into Daily rest type (Type 1), Sports participation and tourism type (Type 2), Hobbies and entertainment type (Type 3), Active leisure participation type (Type 4), and Social exchange type (Type 5). In the case of Daily rest type, severe disability of the elderly was prominent, and leisure activities were mainly carried out alone. Sports participation and tourism type mainly take a break from daily life, but tourism and sports participation activities are also active. The ratio of being married is high and the percentage of choosing a spouse as the main decision-maker is high. As a type of Hobbies and entertainment type, there were relatively more people in their 30s and 40s, and the ratio of facial disfigurement and intellectual/autistic disorders was high. Among the types of active leisure participation type, the income and educational background of the disabled were the highest, and self-esteem and disability acceptance were also high. The social exchange type showed outstanding social and other interpersonal and external activities along with daily rest, with the highest percentage of women and the percentage of choosing family and friends as leisure partners. Through this, it was confirmed that different policy interventions are needed to respond to individual needs such as disability types, youth with disabilities, the elderly with disabilities, and women with disabilities, rather than viewing the disabled as a single population group. In addition, it was suggested that in order to revitalize leisure activities to improve the quality of life of the people with disabilities, solving internal constraints such as self-esteem and disability acceptance should be accompanied, and that policies suitable for the level of perception of the disabled should be considered in structural constraints.
