초등학교 실과의 발명교육 영역에서 디자인씽킹 적용 방향 탐색 (Exploring the Direction to Apply Design Thinking to Invention Education in Practical Arts Subject of Elementary School)

초록

이 연구의 목적은 초등학교 실과의 발명교육 영역에서 디자인씽킹 적용 방향을 탐색한 것으로, 구체적으로 초등학교 교육 및 발명교육과 관련된 선행 연구 분석, 디자인씽킹과 발명교육의 관련성 파악, 초등학교 실과의 발명교육 영역에서 디자인씽킹 적용 방향 탐색이 이루어졌다.
연구 결과 첫째, 디자인씽킹과 관련된 국외의 연구는 디자인, 경영 전략, 경영 혁신, 리더십 등 다양한 분야에서 주로 이루어지고 있었으며 2009년 이후 급증하는 경향을 보였다. 국내의 연구는 2015년 이후 건축, 보건, 행정, 교육 등에서 다양하게 이루어지고 있었다. 둘째, 디자인씽킹과 발명교육은 가치적인 측면에서 개인적으로는 핵심 역량의 증진 및 자존감 등의 정서 함양, 사회적으로는 미래 사회의 가치 창조 및 실생활과 연계, 교육적으로는 창의·인성 교육, 진로교육, STEAM 교육과 연계되는 부분에 있어서 상호 관련성이 있었다. 셋째, 발명교육에서 디자인씽킹을 효과적으로 적용하기 위해서는 발명교육과 디자인씽킹을 융합하기에 적합한 교육 주제 개발, 발명 문제해결 학습과 디자인씽킹의 상호 보완을 통한 교수·학습 모형 개발, 디자인씽킹 중심의 다양한 시각적 발명교육 자료가 개발될 필요성을 확인할 수 있었다.

영어초록

The purpose of this study is to explore the directions of application of design thinking to invention education in elementary Practical Arts subject. Specifically, the analysis of prior research related to elementary school education and invention education, and the application of design thinking in the field of invention education in elementary school.First, foreign research related to design thinking has been taking place in various fields such as design, management strategy, management innovation, and leadership, and has shown a rapid increase since 2009. the research in Korea has been conducted in various ways, including architecture, health, administration, and education, and has been actively conducted since 2015. Second, design thinking and invention education were interrelated in terms of value, personally promoting core competencies and cultivating emotions such as self-esteem, socially creating values of future society and linking them to real life, and educationally related to creativity and personality education, career education and STEAM education. The educational purpose of analyzing problems and finding solutions in relation to the curriculum was similar in content to the training methods that came up with ideas, visually embodied them, produced prototypes, and evaluated them. In addition, the structure with a circular system was similar, not a linear process in which each step was sequentially performed. Third, in order to effectively apply design thinking in invention education, educational topics suitable for convergence of invention education and design thinking, and teaching and learning models through mutual supplementation of invention problem solving and design thinking are needed to be develop.
