범죄경력자 및 가족 대상 가족심리지원사업 효과 분석 (Analysis of the effectiveness of Family Psychological Support Project for Pre-prisoners and their Families)

초록

범죄경력자들의 오랜 수감생활로 인한 사회와의 단절은 사회에 적응하지 못해 어려움을 겪게 하고 출소 후 주거문제, 경제적 여건, 직업문제 등 다양하고 중복된 문제가 범죄경력자의 성공적인 사회복귀를 방해하고 있다. 범죄경력자의 사회적응을 돕고 재범을 방지하기 위해 출소 후 다양한 지원과 자원을 활용하는 것이 중요하며, 이러한 모든 과정에서 가족은 가장 효과적인 자원으로써 범죄경력자들의 사회복귀 지지 요소 중 가장 강력한 지지체계와 범죄 회복의 토대가 된다. 하지만 가족구성원의 범죄로 인해 가족들은 많은 심리적·현실적 어려움을 겪고 있으며, 이러한 어려움은 가정에 부수적인 피해를 입혀 위기가족 또는 가족해체를 유발하기 때문에 범죄경력자와 가족의 실질적인 지원이 절실한 상황이다. 하지만 현재 이와 관련된 연구나 프로그램에 대한 효과성 검증은 미비한 수준으로 진행되고 있으며, 이를 근거로 한 실질적인 제도적 지원 역시 부족한 실정이다. 이에 본 연구는 범죄경력자의 범죄 또는 수감생활 등으로 가족 내 관계 및 소통 단절을 경험하고 있는 가족의 문제를 해결하고 가족 간 관계 회복에 도움을 주고자 한국법무보호복지공단 경기지부에서 실시한 『보호관찰대상자 등 가족심리치료지원사업』의 일환인 가족심리지원사업의 효과를 분석하는 연구를 시행하였다.
연구방법은 사회적응예측지표의 데이터를 토대로 예측력이 높은 문항을 선별한 후 재구성된 사회적응예측지표와 생활정서척도를 연구도구로 활용하였으며, 자료분석 시 기술통계, t검정을 실시하였다.
연구분석 결과, 먼저 개인가족상담 참여자의 사전-사후 변화를 알아보았을 때 통계적으로 유의미하게 변화한 것은 미래를 위한 투자, 가족 믿음, 직업적 자기효능감으로 나타났다. 성별 특성에서는 남자의 회복탄력성과 여자의 직업적 자기효능감이 통계적으로 유의미하게 변화했으며, 가족여부별 특성 또한 범죄경력자의 회복탄력성과 가족의 직업적 자기효능감이 통계적으로 유의미하게 변화하였다. 마지막으로 상담참여유무별 특성에서는 개인가족상담의 가장 큰 효과가 가족 믿음을 높이는 것으로 나타났으며, 개인가족상담과 가족상담캠프에 모두 참여한 경우 회복탄력성이 통계적으로 유의미하게 높게 나타나 가족상담캠프의 회복탄력성 강화프로그램이 효과가 있었던 것으로 나타났다.
본 연구의 결과에 따라 결론 및 제언에서는 프로그램의 문제점과 보완점을 논의하고, 프로그램 내용구성 조정 등 향후 향상된 성과를 거둘 수 있는 프로그램을 제공하기 위한 제언을 하였다.

영어초록

The disconnection from society resulting from long imprisonment among individuals with a criminal history renders them unable to readapt to society and they encounter various overlapping problems such as housing, economic conditions, and employment issues after their release, hindering their successful reintegration into society. Utilizing various supports and resources after their release is crucial in helping pre-prisoners adjust to society and prevent recidivism. Among these supports, the family is the most effective resource and strongest support system for helping pre-prisoners return to society and form the foundation for their recovery. However, families experience various psychological and practical difficulties due to the crimes of their family members, which can lead to crisis families and family disintegration. Therefore, there is an urgent need for practical support for pre-prisoners and their families. However, there is currently an insufficient level of effectiveness verification research or programs related to this, and practical institutional support is also inadequate. In this regard, this study aimed to analyze the effectiveness of the Family Psychological Treatment Support Project, which is part of the 『family psychological treatment support project, such as those subject to probation』 conducted by the Gyeonggi Branch of the Korea Justice Protection Welfare Corporation. The project aims to solve the problems of families who are experiencing a break in family relationships and communication due to crimes or imprisonment of pre-prisoners and to help restore family relationships.
In terms of research methodology, items with high predictive power were selected based on the data of the Social Adjustment Predictive Index. The reconstructed Social Adjustment Predictive Index and Life Emotion Scale were then used as research tools. Descriptive statistics and t-tests were conducted when analyzing the data.
The research analysis revealed that, firstly, there were statistically significant pre-post changes in investment for the future, family belief, and occupational self-efficacy among individual family counseling participants. Regarding gender characteristics, there were statistically significant changes in male resilience and female vocational self-efficacy, and by family status, there were also statistically significant changes in pre-prisoner resilience and family vocational self-efficacy. Finally, in terms of participation in counseling, the greatest effect of individual family counseling was found to be an increase in family trust. When participants participated in both individual family counseling and family counseling camps, resilience was high at a statistically significant level, suggesting that the family counseling camp's resilience strengthening program was effective.
Based on these research results, the problems and supplementary points of the program were discussed in the conclusions and suggestions. Suggestions were made to provide a program that could achieve improved results in the future by adjusting the content of the program.
