초록

학교 식생활교육은 학생들의 식생활에 대한 지식과 정보를 습득시켜 매우 효과적으로 식습관에 영향을 미친다. 초등학교에서의 식생활교육의 내용은 전 교과에 산재되어 있으므로, 전 교과를 활용한 학교중심의 식생활교육 프로그램은 어린이들의 식생활행동(습관)에 대한 바람직한 태도를 형성하고 문제가 되는 식생활 행동을 수정하여 인간 생활에 있어 식생활의 바람직한 실천을 가르치는데 가장 효과적이다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 국내외 초등학교에서의 식생활교육에 대한 현황을 알아보고, 우리나라 학교교육에서의 식생활교육 프로그램을 개발을 위한 방안에 대해 논의하고자 한다. 따라서 학교 교육을 통한 식생활교육 내용을 체계화하였고, 이를 적용하기 위한 체계를 구축하기 위하여, 초등학교 현장 교사 대상의 포커스 그룹 인터뷰를 하였다. 또한 학년별 적용 교과 및 내용을 체계화하여 식생활교육 목표를 설정하고 이를 위한 교육 영역을 구조화하였으며, 학교에서 적용 가능한 식생활교육 프로그램을 개발하였다. 이는 학교교육에서의 교사 중심의 식생활교육의 중요성을 제시하고자 하였으며, 교과서를 기반으로 한 학교 식생활교육의 방안을 모색하며 이를 통하여 학교교육에서의 효과적인 식생활 교육을 운영하고 지도할 수 있는 다양화 방안 모색에 기초자료가 되고자 하였다.

영어초록

Today, the Korean society is experiencing an increase in serious dietary problems, such as children obesity. The increase in these problems is caused by rapid change that has taken place within our society, which has emasculated the power of our traditional values and behavior patterns to cope with contemporary life styles. There is an urgent need to revitalize and increase the effects of the dietary education program for elementary school students. This research was conducted in order to find a way to revitalize and to increase the effects of the program so that more and more children can participate and receive benefits from it. We have analyzed the program's contents and the current condition on how the program is actually conducted. Then we have compared real case examples of the program and analyzed the current situation and its problems. We were able to extract some important aspects for developing dietary education programs contents. To solve this problem, we critically examined and analyzed the nature and characteristics, educational goals, structural framework of contents based on subject curriculums. From this contents analysis of subjects textbooks, we got insight into the theoretical background of curriculum development. This study was initiated from the probing question of how should we set nutritional goals and curriculum contents of schools. Especially in this study we took notice of systematization of nutrition problems, and suggested a model of systematization of dietary education program. It was carried out as a basic fundamental research to propose a theoretical framework for a dietary education. It will definitely play a important role in establishing a standard framework for educational goal and curriculum contents for dietary education program. The purpose of this work is to investigate dietary education programs based on textbook for elementary school students and related studies for elementary school students to extract meaningful suggestions, and to develop some dietary education programs contents to realize our suggestions.
