『論語』의 詩에 대한 고찰 (A Consideration on Poetry in 『Noneo(論語, The Analects of Confucius』)

초록

본고는 『論語』에서 『詩經』과 『시경』의 詩가 갖는 의미를 탐색하는 과정으로 諸注을 살피고, 그에 따른 해석과 이해, 수용과 비판을 탐색하는 것을 목적으로 하였다.
『논어』는 공자와 그의 문인을 중심으로 넓고 풍부하고 깊이를 더하는 다양한 철학적 견해를 보이는 경서다. 저간의 문맥에는 철학적 의미를 담보로 하는 명리적 의미뿐만이 아니라, 삶의 일상을 통찰하는 날카로운 비판적 시각도 있으며, 사물이나 언어의 개념을 쪼개거나 포괄하는 합리적 사고를 요하는 논리도 있다. 『논어』가 보여주는 事物, 人間, 事體에 대한 전방위적인 해석과 이해는 儒者들의 고차원적인 섭렵뿐만이 아니라, 凡人까지도 分數에 따라 수용할 수 있고, 그것으로 일상에서 警戒의 범위로 삼게 한다. 이러한 이해는 언어의 철학적 의미를 일상 사물의 체득과 일치시켜 개념을 부각시키는 데에서 시작된다.
『논어』에서 仁, 義, 禮, 知, 治, 學, 樂 등의 추상적 언어는 古注, 朱子 注, 諸儒者 注 등의 해석과 수용․비판을 통해 적확한 상황적 요소가 반영되어 구체적 상황으로 실현되었다. 이는 『논어』의 언어로 유추하여 폐쇄시키는 것에서 한 걸음 나아가 설명과 해석이 가능한 개념어로써 소통의 상관물이 되기에 충분하다. 『논어』의 詩 역시 문학적 언어로써의 이해와 아울러 보편적 삶의 언어와 철학적 소통을 위한 언어로 이해와 해석이 가능하다는 것을 밝히고 있다.

영어초록

This study confirmed a meaning of 『Sigyeong(詩經, Book of Odes』 and of a poem, and of “Samusa(思無邪, there is no malicious intention in thinking)” as the process of exploring a meaning that a poem has in 『Noneo(論語, The Analects of Confucius』. In addition, it grasped a meaning of a poem through Jujaju(朱子注) and examined even a critical receptive attitude that Yuja(儒者) in Joseon Dynasty and a scholar of the Chinese classics(漢學者) in modern times recognize.
『Noneo(論語)』 is a Confucian classic(經書) that shows diverse philosophical opinions, which are broad, rich, and deep, focusing on Gongja(孔子, Confucius) and his literary person. In the context of the occasion, there is even a sharply critical view, which discerns daily life, as well as a meaning of the worldly honor, which has a philosophical meaning as guarantee. There is also logic that requires rational thinking of splitting or embracing a concept of a thing or a language. The omnidirectional interpretation and understanding about thing, human being, Sache(reason and honor) that 『Noneo(論語)』 shows can accept ordinary person according to own place(分數) as well as Confucianist(儒者)s' high-dimensional reading, and comes to have it as the range of vigilance(警戒) in everyday life. This understanding begins from highlighting a concept by making a philosophical meaning of a language consistent with the realization of daily object.
In 『Noneo(論語)』, the abstract languages such as In(仁), Ui(義), Ye(禮), Ji(知), Chi(治), Hak(學), and Ak(樂) were realized as a specific situation by being reflected the accurately situational element through interpreting, accepting and criticizing Jujaju(朱子注), and persons. This is enough to be a correlative of communication as a conceptual language available for description and interpretation, with going one step forward from what closes through inferring it as a language of 『Noneo(論語)』. It is clarifying that even a poem in 『Noneo(論語)』 is available for understanding and interpretation as a language of universal life and a language for philosophical communication along with understanding as a literary language.
Accordingly, this study will explore many views such as grasping & understanding a meaning, realizing & interpreting, and accepting & criticizing a concept of “poem” in a part of mentioning a poem in 『Sigyeong(詩經, Book of Odes』 between Gongja(孔子, Confucius) and disciple. Also, when “poem” in 『Sigyeong(詩經)』 is understood through epigram, it will be able to know, too, about how Confucian scholar(儒學者)s in future generations, especially, Confucianist(儒者)s in Joseon are understanding. This discussion doesn't aim to distinguish between right and wrong, but aims to grasp the openly academic attitude and perspective of all decent persons who interpret and understand the poems that are accepted in 『Noneo(論語)』.
