시적 순간의 미학 (Aesthetic of Poetic Instance)

초록

이 연구는 시적 창조의 순간의 시간적인 특징을 정현종 시를 통해 밝히는 것을 목적으로 한다. 인간은 고유하고 이질적인 몸의 시간과 함께 살아왔다. 하지만 근대는 물리적이고 양적인 시간으로 내면적인 시간을 억압하여 왔다. 시적 창조의 순간에는 시간의 수평적 흐름이 멈추면서 질적으로 풍부한 수직적 시간이 생성된다. 시는 무시간적이며 영원한 현재인 시적 순간을 통해 물리적인 시간에서 벗어나 원초적인 시간을 회복하려는 예술형식이다.
정현종 시에 나타난 첫 번째 시적 순간의 특징은 시가 씌어지기 전에 시의 태동과 발아의 과정이 내면에서 진행된다는 점이다. 이미지-싹이 시의 언어를 입는 순간, 시인을 지배하던 양적 시간의 흐름은 갑자기 중단되면서 미친 듯이 풍부한 질적 시간으로 변화된다. 두 번째 특징은 내면에서 생성되는 생명력과 탄력성이다. 양적 시간의 억압은 불안을 야기해 인간의 고유한 본성인 생명력을 위축시킨다. 사물의 도취나 순수 집중의 순간에 인간의 내면은 생명력과 탄력성으로 충만하게 된다. 세 번째 특징은 사물의 융합과 공감각의 확장이다. 춤에 몰입하는 순간과 같은 도취 속에서 육체의 공기화가 이루어지며, 육체는 영혼과 결합하여 반신의 상태가 된다. 육체와 영혼, 사물과 공기 사이의 경계가 무화되면서 서로 다른 대상이 융합되는 것이다. 이질적인 사물 간에 감각적 경계, 물질적 경계, 정신적 경계가 해체되는 공감각이 일어난다.
정현종 시에서 사물과의 소통, 이미지의 탄력성, 사물과 인간의 합일은 시적 순간에 무의지적으로 자연적으로 이루어지는 자동적 창조 과정에서 나온다. 이 순간에 왜소한 몸에 갇혀 세계와 분리되어 있던 인간은 국부적인 공간에서 벗어나 세계와 우주와 합일하게 된다.

영어초록

This study is to search for the characteristics of time in the poetic instance by the analysis of Cheong Hyun-Jong's poetries. Human is the being live with the peculiar and irregular time in their bodies. But the physical time measured scientifically in the modern civilization have suppressed the human's own time in their bodies. However, in the instance of poetry writing, the horizontal flow of the time is changed to the qualitative and vertical time. This time have the characters of timelessness and eternal present. Poetry is the way of art to get out of the physical time and to recover the primitive time through the poetic instance.
The aesthetic characteristics of poetic instances of Cheong Hyun-Jong's poetries are, first, shown in the process of fetal movement and germination in the inside of bodies. When the image-sprouts wears the poetic language, the flow of qualitative time stops abruptly and it changes into rich quantitative time. Second, the vitality and the elasticity generated from the inside of bodies are shown in his poetries. The suppression of the physical time causes the uneasiness of human mind and shrinkage of vitality. But the things fascinated in present instance acquire the timelessness and the eternity in the time of genuine concentration. In the instance of genuine concentration, the inside of human is full of vitality and elasticity. Third, the fusion of things and the extension of synesthesia are shown in his poetries. When a dancer concentrated the dancing, his/her body has the nature of half-body and half-air. At the same time, the soul and the body united to half-body. So the division between body/soul and thing/air is removed and the fusion of new body or new thing is born. In this time, the sensory divisions, the physical divisions and the mental divisions are dissolved and the synesthesia are happened.
The communication between the humans and things, the elasticity of images and the fusion of humans and things, which are the characteristics of Cheong Hyun-Jong's poetries, are appeared in the automatic process of poetic creation. At that time, the humans who are bound in the short and small bodies apart from the world, get out of the local space and unite with the world and the universe.
