초록

The Baekje roof-end tiles of Goguryeo style manufactured in the Wungjin~Sabi era are roughly divided into four types such as A type, B type, C type and D type. The case of C type is subdivided into four types. The times of these roof-end tiles can be presumed on the basis of the remains excavated with them, soil layers and patterns. As the result of it, it is judged that A type was manufactured in the end of the 6th century, C-1 type in the third quarter of the 6th century, C-2～3 type from the later of the third quarter to the fourth quarter of the 6th century, and C-4 type and D type in the earlier of the 7th century.
In short, the manufacture of Baekje roof-end tiles after the transfer of the capital to Wungjin implies that the roof-end tile production skills of Goguryeo were transmitted to Baekje. To be sure, the effort of Baekje tile-craftsmen in the manufacture of roof-end tile should not go unheeded, but the existence of Goguryeo craftsmen who gave them guidance should be emphasized still more.
In the meantime, the roof-end tiles of Goguryeo style collected in the old territory of Baekje were not more than ten pieces. Also the fact that all of them were excavated in Buyeo reflects the local characteristics. Moreover, the transmitting and manufacturing process of earthenware of Goguryeo style needs to be closely considered because they are excavated with the roof-end tiles of Goguryeo style in the realms of Baekje.
