한강하류에서의 수중보 위치변화에 따른 흐름특성 연구 (A Study on Characteristics of Flow Depending on Location of Submerged Weir in Downstream of the Han River)

The Han River has complex flow characteristics due to the tides, tributaries, channel structures, and discharge from dams. There are 2 submerged weirs in the lower Han River; one at Chamsil and the other at Singok. The Singok submerged weir was constructed to maintain the intake water level and the waterway level as well as to prevent the decrease of ground water level and change to ecosystem due to the saltwater intrusion during the development of the Han River. However, the Seoul city has recently announced the basic plan for Han River 2030 where the weirs will be examined to determine whether or not they need to be removed or improved upon. This study analyzed the characteristics of the Han River flow by considering the effect of current Singok submerged weir location using hydraulic flood model, MIKE 11 by changing the location as well as removing the submerged weir. The model results show that the water level is increased from 0.01m to 1.066m due to the location change. And 27.30% of the Janghang and 9.93% of the Sannam wetland protection area will be expected to be under the water. The changing of the weir increased the velocity speed of up to 18.63% while by removing the weir, the velocity speed increased up to 28.56%. In addition, MIKE 21 model was applied to investigate the bed level changes and these results will be useful to setting up basic plan for Han River.
