숏폼 관광 콘텐츠의 정보 품질이 태도, 상호작용 및 방문의도에 미치는 영향: SOR 모델 적용 (The Impact of Information Quality of Short-Form Tourism Content on Attitudes, Interactions and Visit Intentions: Applying the SOR Model)

초록

본 연구는 숏폼 관광 콘텐츠의 정보 품질이 이용자의 태도, 상호작용 및 방문의도에 미치는 영향을 분석하고자 하였다. TikTok, 유튜브 쇼츠, 인스타그램 릴스와 같은 숏폼 영상 플랫폼이 급성장하면서, 관광 마케팅 분야에서도 숏폼 콘텐츠를 활용한 잠재 방문객 유치가 증가하고 있다. 본 연구는 자극-유기체-반응(SOR) 모델을 기반으로 숏폼 콘텐츠의 정보 품질 요소(오락성, 정보성, 최신성, 간결성)가 이용자의 태도와 상호작용에 미치는 영향과 이들이 관광지 방문의도에 연결되는 과정을 실증적으로 검증하였다. 최근 3개월 이내에관광 관련 숏폼 콘텐츠를 시청한 경험이 있는 456명을 대상으로 온라인 설문조사를 실시하였으며, PLS-SEM 분석 방법을 활용하여 가설을 검증하였다. 분석 결과, 최신성과 간결성은 이용자의 태도와 상호작용 모두에 유의한 정(+)의 영향을 미치는 반면, 오락성은 태도에만, 정보성은 상호작용에만 유의한 영향을미치는 것으로 나타났다. 또한 이용자의 태도와 상호작용은 방문의도에 유의한 정(+)의 영향을 미쳤으며, 특히 태도가 방문의도에 미치는 영향력이 더 큰 것으로 확인되었다. 특히 최신성이 태도와 상호작용에 가장 강한 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타나, 빠르게 변화하는 디지털 환경에서 최신 정보 제공의 중요성을 시사한다. 본 연구는 숏폼 관광 콘텐츠가 차별화된 심리적 메커니즘을 통해 이용자 반응을 유발함을 규명함으로써 디지털 관광 연구에 이론적 기여를 제공하며, 관광 마케터들에게 최신성과 간결성을 강조한 효과적인 숏폼 전략 수립을 위한 실무적 시사점을 제공한다.

영어초록

This study examines how the information quality of short-form tourism content affects user engagement and behavioral intentions. With the rapid growth of platforms such as TikTok, YouTube Shorts, and Instagram Reels, tourism marketing increasingly utilizes short-form videos to attract potential visitors. Based on the Stimulus-Organism-Response (SOR) model, we analyze how content characteristics—specifically entertainment, informativeness, timeliness, and conciseness—influence users' attitudes, interactions, and visit intentions. Data were collected through an online survey of 456 respondents who had watched tourism-related short-form content within the previous three months. Using PLS-SEM analysis, we found that timeliness and conciseness positively affected both user attitudes and interaction, while entertainment influenced attitudes but not interaction, and informativeness influenced interaction but not attitudes. Both attitudes and interaction subsequently enhanced visit intentions, with attitudes having a stronger influence. Particularly, timeliness demonstrated the strongest impact on both user attitudes and interaction intentions, suggesting that up-to-date content is crucial in the rapidly evolving digital landscape. The findings reveal that short-form tourism content operates through differentiated psychological mechanisms, where entertainment elements primarily build affective connections, while informative content stimulates sharing behavior without necessarily changing attitudes. This research provides theoretical contributions to digital tourism literature by extending the SOR framework to short-form content and identifying the nuanced pathways through which different content qualities influence consumer behavior. The results offer practical implications for tourism marketers seeking to optimize their short-form video strategies, suggesting that emphasis on timeliness and conciseness, combined with appropriate entertainment and informative elements, can maximize user engagement and ultimately enhance destination visit intentions in an increasingly competitive digital marketplace.
