초록

본 연구는 섬 지역이 보유한 해양치유자원을 활용한 재활 프로그램 개발방안을 체계적으로 분석하고, 섬 지역을 해양치유 및 재활 거점으로 발전시키기 위한 정책적·산업적 방향성을 제시하는 것을 목표로 한다. 이에 본 연구의 목적은 섬 지역의 자연환경과 해양치유자원을 효과적으로 활용하여 차별화된 재활 프로그램을 개발하는 데 있다. 이를 위해 다음과 같은 구체적인 연구목표를 설정하였다. 첫째, 섬 지역의 해양치유자원의 특성을 분석하고자 한다. 둘째, 섬 지역 특성을 반영한 재활 프로그램을 분석하고자 한다. 셋째, 섬 지역 특성을 극대화한 해양치유자원 활용 및 재활 프로그램 개발방안을 제시하고자 한다. 이를 위해 본 연구는 섬 지역의 해양치유자원을 활용한 재활 프로그램 개발방안을 도출하려는 연구방법을 첫째, 해양치유(Thalassotherapy) 및 재활 프로그램 관련 선행연구 검토를 위해 문헌 연구(Literature Review)를 실시하였다. 둘째, 국내외 섬 지역의 해양치유 사례분석 및 비교연구를 하였다. 이러한 연구를 통해 본 연구는 섬 지역의 해양치유자원을 활용한 차별화된 재활 프로그램을 개발함으로써 웰니스 및 의료 관광과 연계하여 산업적 파급 효과를 창출하는 등 섬 지역의 지속 가능한 경제를 활성화할 실무적 시사점을 제공하고자 한다.
이론 고찰과 사례분석 결과, 해양치유자원과 재활 프로그램에 관한 구체적 개발방안으로 첫째, 해양치유자원(해수, 해양성 기후, 해조류, 갯벌, 해양생물 등의 요소)의 특성화 및 활용방안, 둘째, 섬 지역 특성을 반영한 재활 프로그램 개발방안(대상별 특화 재활 프로그램)을 제시하였다. 이를 위해 섬 지역 재활 프로그램 운영 전략으로 첫째. 섬 지역사회 기반 맞춤형 운영 모델 구축, 둘째, 헬스케어 기술 융합 및 스마트 재활 시스템 도입, 셋째, 웰니스 및 치유 관광과 연계한 지속가능한 발전 전략을 제시하였다.

영어초록

This study aims to systematically analyze the development plan for rehabilitation programs that utilize marine healing resources available in island areas and to propose policy and industrial directions for transforming these regions into hubs for marine healing and rehabilitation. Accordingly, the purpose of this study is to develop differentiated rehabilitation programs by effectively leveraging the natural environment and marine healing resources of island areas. To achieve this, the following specific research objectives were established: first, to analyze the characteristics of marine healing resources in island areas; second, to examine rehabilitation programs that reflect the unique characteristics of these regions; and third, to propose development plans for utilizing marine healing resources and creating rehabilitation programs that maximize the intrinsic features of island areas.
To accomplish these objectives, the research methodology employed includes: first, conducting a literature review on marine healing(thalassotherapy) and rehabilitation programs to examine prior studies; and second, performing a case analysis and comparative study of marine healing practices in domestic and international island areas. Through this research, the study intends to provide practical implications for revitalizing a sustainable island economy by creating industrial ripple effects in conjunction with wellness and medical tourism through the development of differentiated rehabilitation programs utilizing marine healing resources.
Based on the theoretical review and case analysis, specific development plans for marine healing resources and rehabilitation programs were proposed. These include: first, strategies for the characterization and utilization of marine healing resources(such as sea water, marine climate, seaweed, tidal flats, and marine organisms); and second, development plans for rehabilitation programs tailored to the unique characteristics of island areas(specialized rehabilitation programs for different target groups). In addition, the study proposes operational strategies for island rehabilitation programs, including: first, the establishment of a community-based customized operating model; second, the integration of healthcare technologies and the introduction of smart rehabilitation systems; and third, a sustainable development strategy linked with wellness and healing tourism.
