음악교과를 통한 대학생의 인성교양교육 연구 (A Study on Character Liberal Arts Education of University Students through Music Course)

초록

본 연구는 대학생의 음악교과 연계 인성교양교육에 관한 학습 참여 현황과 운영 실태 및 요구, 교육 필요성과수업만족도 및 효과 정도를 확인함으로써 교육 운영에 대한 대안과 근거자료를 제공하고자 한 조사연구이다. 연구대상은 국내 C시에 소재한 A대학교의 남녀대학생 77명으로, 자료 수집은 구조화된 설문지를 사용하여 2020년12월 1일부터 12월 31일까지 실시하였으며, SPSS program을 활용하여 빈도분석, 교차분석을 실시하였다. 연구의분석결과, 학생들의 심리적⋅정서적인 측면의 완화와 안정감 증진을 위한 세심한 배려를 바탕으로 학습설계가 이루어져야 하며, 학습자의 견해를 바탕으로 학생 자신의 실제적인 삶의 의미와 가치를 더욱 깊이 있게 성찰할 수있는 학습 운영을 고려해야 한다. 학년별 학생들의 특성 및 학업 상황을 고려하여 음악과 인성교양교과는 단순한음악활동 중심이 아니라 학습과정에서 학생들이 수용적인 마음가짐 태도로 자연스럽게 학습이 체득될 수 있도록권위적인 교육방식을 지양해야 하며, 더욱 섬세한 교육으로 바람직한 인성을 함양하도록 해야 한다. 그리고 학생들의 학습 요구를 명확히 파악하여 이를 수렴한 교육운영방식이 진행되어야 하며, 대학에서 운영하는 음악교육과인성계발 함양을 위한 새로운 융합교과과정의 수립과 다양한 음악활동에 대한 학생들의 자율적인 탐색을 위한 교육 여건 및 학습 분위기 조성이 필요하다. 비판적⋅반성적 사고와 성찰을 위한 학습의 운영으로 적절한 언어적 표현과 원만한 대화 및 토론이 수행되어야 하며, 음악과 인성교양교육은 본질적인 교육의 대안으로 전인적 발달과인성 함양을 목적으로 하는 교양교과로서 다양한 음악적 표현 및 활동을 접목하여 조화롭고 유기적인 인성을 형성하도록 하여 미래의 바른 인재를 길러낼 수 있어야 한다. 본 연구의 결과를 통해 음악과 인성교육은 대학 교양교과에서의 지식을 전달하는 차원을 넘어 차별화된 교육 목표의 수립과 중⋅장기적인 계획의 구안으로 음악예술 영역의 교양교육과정 개편 및 운영을 고려해야 하며, 인성 연계 융합교육의 해결책에 대한 모색과 지속적인 논의를제안한다.

This study is a research study to confirm the current status and operation status and demands of University students’ participation in learning related to the music course-related character liberal arts education, the educational necessity, class satisfaction and effectiveness, and to provide alternatives and supporting data for the education operation. The subjects of this study were 77 male and female students from University A located in C city in Korea, and data collection was conducted from December 1 to 31, 2020 using a structured questionnaire. And frequency analysis, cross analysis were performed using SPSS program. As a result of the analysis of the study, learning design should be designed based on meticulous consideration for alleviation of psychological and emotional aspects of students and improvement of stability. And based on the learner’s point of view, it is necessary to consider the learning operation that can reflect more deeply on the meaning and value of the student’s own actual life. Considering the characteristics and academic situation of students by grade, the music and character liberal arts curriculum does not focus on simple music activities, but avoids authoritative educational methods so that students can naturally acquire learning with a receptive attitude in the learning process, and provide more detailed education to develop desirable character. In addition, the educational operation method that converges the learning needs of students must be clearly identified. It is necessary to establish a new convergence curriculum for music education and character development run by universities, and to create educational conditions and learning atmosphere for students to autonomously explore various musical activities. As the operation of learning for critical and reflective thinking and reflection, appropriate verbal expression and smooth dialogue and discussion should be conducted. Music and character liberal arts education is an alternative to essential education and is a liberal arts subject that aims to develop holistic personality and cultivate character. It should be able to combine various musical expressions and activities to form a harmonious and organic character and to nurture upright talents of the future. Through the results of this study, music and character education should go beyond the level of transferring knowledge in University liberal arts subjects, and consider the reform and operation of the liberal arts curriculum in the field of music and art by establishing differentiated educational goals and devising mid/long-term plans.
In this regard, I propose a search for a solution for character-linked convergence education and continuous discussion.
