해동검도 수련생 학부모의 교육 기대 요인 탐색 (Exploring the educational expectations of elementary school trainees’ parent in accordance with Haidong Gumdo training)

초록

본 연구는 초등학교 수련생 학부모가 자녀를 해동검도 수련장에 보내면서 교육적으로 무엇을 기대하고 바라는 지를 알아보고, 수련장 운영에 따른 여러 가지 기초 자료를 제공하려는 것이었다. 이를 위해 J도에 소재한 해동 수련장을 모집단으로 유목적 표집방법을 통해 10개의 수련장을 선정하여, 이곳에서 수련하고 있는 초등학교 수련생 학부모 288명을 연구대상으로 선정하여 조사하였다. 조사 도구는 개방형 질문지(critical incident report)를 사용하였고, 자료 분석은 입력-범주화-영역화 방식의 귀납적 내용 분석방법(inductive categorical system)을 적용하였으며, 이러한 과정을 통한 결과 분석 및 논의 과정을 통해 다음과 같은 결론을 도출하였다. 첫째, 해동검도 수련 과정에 따른 초등학생 수련생 학부모의 교육적 기대 요인은 소영역(52개), 중영역(9개), 대영역(3개)으로 각각 분류되었고, 대영역의 기대 요인은 수련생 요인(72.4%), 지도자 요인(19.4%), 그리고 안 전 및 시설·환경 요인(8.2%) 순으로 나타났다. 둘째, 학부모의 수련생에 대한 기대 요인은 ‘성격 및 태 도’(41.8%), ‘체력 및 건강’(19.3%), ‘생활 적응’(11.3%) 순으로 나타났다. 셋째, 학부모의 지도자에 대한 기대 요인은 ‘지도 철학’(9.1 %), ‘지도 태도’(6.7%), ‘지도 역량’(3.6%) 순으로 나타났다. 넷째, 학부모의 안전 및 시 설ㆍ환경에 대한 기대 요인은 ‘안전사고’(3.5%), ‘시설물 안전’(2.6%), ‘위생·청결’(2.1%) 순으로 나타났다. 다섯 째, 본 연구는 J도의 특정 지역을 중심으로만 조사가 이루어졌으나, 후속 연구에서는 지역을 보다 확대 적용할 필요가 있겠다. 또한, 해동검도 수련 활동 과정의 교육적 기능과 역할 강화를 위한 다양한 요인에 대해서도 다 양한 분석 방법을 통해 후속 연구가 필요하다고 생각한다.

영어초록

Purpose: The purpose of this study is to find out what kind of educational purpose the elementary school trainees’ parents of the Haidong Gumdo expect for while sending their children to a Haidong Gumdo institution and provide the basic data needed to improve the qualities of the leader's leadership, the training program, and the environment of the training center, as well as the educational contribution plan that can meet the needs of the parents. Method: To conduct this study, the Haidong Gumdo institutions located in J and G city is used as a population. 10 Haidong Gumdo institutions are designated using convenient sampling method, and 288 parents of elementary school practitioners who are trained here are studied. And a critical incident report used for the survey. The parents were asked to write down their expectations from the kids’ Gumdo training in more than ten keywords in order from the greatest sense of what they were expecting or hoping for. The data analysis is based on the inductive categorical system and inputting–categorization–sectioning method. The results and conclusion are as follows. Results: The educational expectation factors of trainees’ parents from the Haidong Gumdo training were classified into 52 small areas, 5 middle areas, and 3 large areas. The most important factor as an educational expectation factor in the large area was 'trainee factor'(72.4%), followed by 'leader factor'(19.4%) and 'facility and environment factor'(8.2%). The expectation factors of the large area were in the order of trainers (72.4%), leaders (19.4%), safety and facilities and environmental factors (8.2%). Second, the expectation factors for parents' trainees were 'personality and attitude' (41.8%), 'physical fitness and health' (19.3%) and 'life adjustment' (11.3%). Third, expectation factors of parents' leaders were in the order of 'guidance philosophy' (9.1%), 'leadership attitude' (6.7%) and 'leadership competence' (3.6%). Fourth, expectation factors of parents' safety and facilities·environment were 'safety accident' (3.5%), 'facility safety' (2.6%), and 'hygiene·cleanliness' (2.1%). Conclusion: Finally, this study was conducted only in specific areas of J and G City. Therefore, it is necessary to expand the area more in subsequent studies. Further research is needed on various factors to enhance the educational function and role through various analysis methods.
