한국 대학생용 진로신념 척도 개발 (Development and validation of the Korean Career Belief Scale for College students)

초록

본 연구는 Ellis의 비합리적 신념에 대한 개념과 Krumbolts의 진로결정 사회학습이론에 근거하여 진로상담 장면에서 대학생 내담자의 진로발달 및 진로과업 수행을 방해할 수 있는 역기능적 신념을 탐색-확인하는 상담도구로 사용하고자 대학생용 진로신념 척도(Korea-Career Belief Scale)를 개발하고, 타당도 및 신뢰도를 검증하고자 한 것이 목적이었다. 이를 위하여 선행연구와 기존도구의 고찰을 통한 연역적 구인과정과 대학생 진로 관련 전문가 집단을 대상으로 한 개방형 질문지를 통한 귀납적 구인과정을 근거로 총 14개 하위요인의 60개의 문항으로 구성한 예비척도를 제작하여 내용타당도 검증을 위한 전문가 평정, 구인타당도 검증을 위한 활용대상집단 검증, 대구 및 부산권역 4개 대학(4년제, 전문대 구분)의 남․여 대학생 118～201명을 대상으로 5차례의 예비조사 및 문항분석 과정을 거쳐 총 40개 문항으로 구성된 최종 예비척도를 구성하였다. 그리고 이렇게 구성된 최종 예비척도를 전국 6개 권역의 12개 대학의 남․여 대학생 1200명을 대상으로 실시-의뢰하여 수집한 자료 가운데 회수되지 않았거나 불성실한 자료를 제외한 844명의 자료를 요인분석한 결과 최종적으로 3개의 요인(총 32문항)을 추출하였으며, 각 요인은 진로정체감 신념(20문항), 진로의사결정 신념(5문항), 진로준비행동 신념(7문항)으로 명명하였고 확인적 요인분석으로 요인구조의 안정성을 확인하였다. 한편 개발한 척도의 신뢰도는 전체 Cronbach의 α계수가 .894, 각 하위요인은 .827～ .894이었으며, 3주 간격의 검사-재검사 신뢰도는 전체가 .841, 각 하위요인이 .782～ .862로 나타났다. 한편 개발한 척도의 구인타당도를 검증하기 위한 방법으로 진로발달 정도와의 상관을 확인하기 위하여 진로정체감, 진로결정수준, 진로준비행동 척도를 활용하여 합계점수(진로발달 전체)와 각 척도간의 점수와 본 연구에서 개발된 척도와의 상관분석을 실시하였으며, 그 결과 모두 .01 수준에서 통계적으로 유의한 부적 상관을 나타냄으로써 본 연구결과를 지지하였다. 아울러 본 연구에서 개발한 척도의 활용방안과 연구의 의의 및 추후 연구 과제를 제시하였다.

영어초록

The purpose of this study was to develop and the Korea Career Belief Scale(K-CBS) for college students and to validate the K-CBS. The K-CBS was designed to measure individual's dysfunctional career beliefs and thoughts in his or her career development to perform the career-related tasks. This study was involved took fifth steps. First, the K-CBS consisting of 14 factors-60 items was developed based on theoretical literatures and open-ended questions to a professional group. Second, to verify the content validity, eliminate 4 items based on the judgements of counseling psychologists. Third, five preliminary investigations was tested and 16 items were eliminated based on item-scale correlation. Fourth, the scale consisting of 40 items was administered to a sample of 844 college students, and 8 items were eliminated based on item-scale correlation and factor extraction. Finally, items of the scale were reduced to 3 factors - 32 items. And The 3 factors were extracted from the factor analysis, factor 1(20 items) implying ‘achievement of career identity research’, factor 2(5 items) implying ‘achievement of career decision making’, and factor 3(7 items) implying ‘achievement of career preparation behavior’. Then Phase two was to verify the validity of K-CBS. First, to examine the stability of the factor structure of the 32-item measurement model, a confirmatory factor analysis with a maximum likelihood estimation method was conducted in AMOS 7.0, and 3 factors were identified. Second, to examine internal consistency and split-half reliability, data were collected from samples of 844 college students, and to verify 3-week test-retest reliability, data were collected from samples of 154 college students. The internal consistency reliability of the K-CBS total score was excellent (Cronbach's α .897) and the internal consistency reliability of sub-factors were acceptable(Cronbach's α .830～ .894). The test-retest reliability of the K-CBS total score was .841 and the test-retest reliability of sub-factors were .782～ .862. The split-half reliability of the K-CBS total score was .801 and the split-half reliability of sub-factors were .803～ .884. To verify the construct validity of the developed Scale, the Career Identity scale, Career Decision Level scale, and Career Preparation Behavior scale were administered. The result of the study indicated that the K-CBS total scores and each sub-factors scores were negatively and significantly correlated with the Career Identity scale, Career Decision Level scale, and Career Preparation Behavior scale and total scores. Thus K-CBS demonstrated satisfactory construct validity. In addition, the limitation of study and the practical use of the K-CBS was discussed.
