초록

이 연구는 발달장애 대학생의 학교생활 적응과 학업 수행을 지원하기 위한 맞춤형 교육지원 방안을 탐색하는 것을 목적으로 한다. 이를 위해 지적장애 대학생과 학부모 총 9명을 대상으로 초점집단면담(Focus Group Interview, FGI) 및 심층면담을 실시하여 장애대학생의 학업 및 생활 적응 경험을 주제 분석 방법을 통해 심층적으로 분석하였다. 연구 결과, 발달장애 대학생들은 교수 및 학습 환경, 생활 지원, 사회적 관계 형성 등 다양한 영역에서 어려움을 겪고 있으며, 현행 장애대학생 지원 체계가 발달장애 특성을 충분히 반영하지 못하는 한계를 지닌 것으로 나타났다. 이에 이 연구는 발달장애 대학생을 위한 장애학생지원센터의 역할 확대, 개인별교육지원계획의 실효성 강화, 교수·학습 지원 개선, 정서적 및 사회적 관계 지원, 부모 지원 체계 구축 등의 필요성을 제언하였다. 연구 결과는 발달장애 대학생의 실질적인 학습권 보장을 위한 맞춤형 지원 방안 마련에 기여할 것으로 기대한다.

영어초록

This study aims to explore customized educational support measures to support the adaptation to school life and academic performance of college students with developmental disabilities. For this purpose, focus group interviews (FGI) and in-depth interviews were conducted with a total of 9 college students with intellectual disabilities and their parents, and the academic and life adjustment experiences of college students with disabilities were analyzed in depth through thematic analysis method. The results of the study showed that college students with developmental disabilities experience difficulties in various areas such as teaching and learning environment, living support, and social relationship formation, and that the current support system for college students with disabilities has limitations in sufficiently reflecting the characteristics of developmental disabilities. Accordingly, this study suggested the need to expand the role of the Disabled Student Support Center for college students with developmental disabilities, strengthen the effectiveness of individual education support plans, improve teaching and learning support, support emotional and social relationships, and establish a parent support system. The results of the study are expected to contribute to the establishment of customized support measures to guarantee the actual right to education of college students with developmental disabilities.
