대학생 현장체험학습(새가게운동)이 창업의도와 소상공인 경영개선에 미치는 영향에 관한 연구 (The Effects of New Store Movement (University Student Field Study) on University Students’ Entrepreneurial Intentions and Small Enterprise Owners’ Management Performances)

초록

본 연구에서는 현장체험형 창업교육의 일환으로 부산시에서 2012년부터 시행하고 있는 새가게운동의 효과를 대학생 창업의지와 현장체험 대상기업인 소상공인 경영개선의 두 가지 관점에서 구조모형분석을 통하여 분석하였다. 연구결과,새가게운동이 창업스킬과 기업가정신의 매개변수를 통하여 대학생 창업의도에 정(+)의영향을 미치고 소상공인들의 경영이 개선되는 효과가 있는 것으로 나타났다. 즉 새가게운동체험학습이 대학생의 창업과 서민경제 향상에 이바지할 수 있는 것으로 조사되었다. 상생경영의 관점에서 볼 때, 학생들의 역량강화와 소상공인들의 성과향상에 동시에 기여할 수있는 새가게운동을 청년창업을 통한 성장과 고용의 선순환 구조를 마련할 수 있는 한방법으로 제안해본다.

영어초록

New Store Movement (NSM) is a university student field study thathas been implemented in Busan since 2012. This research has been conducted inorder to demonstrate the effects of NSM on the participating students’ entrepreneurialintentions and small enterprise owners’ management performance.
Main findings of this research are as follows. First, NSM has shown to have positiveinfluence on university students’ entrepreneurial intention through parameters suchas entrepreneurial skills and entrepreneurship. Secondly, the relationship betweenNSM and management performance also have been shown positive. Participatingin NSM with students has also increased business owners’ entrepreneurial skills(management skills) and entrepreneurship. In particular, strengthened entrepreneurialskills through NSM have shown to contribute largely to financial and non-financialsuccess of their businesses.
Small enterprises are critical components of South Korea’s economy, and contributelargely to country’s basic economic growth. Therefore, the findings of this NewStore Movement study have positive implications to society as the movement provesto help the owners of these small enterprises strengthen their business skills, exploretheir entrepreneurship, and improve their management performance. Furthermore, NewStore Movement provides a high quality field experience through which university students can build and strengthen practical business skills while establishing mutuallybeneficial economic relations with the aforementioned small enterprise owners. NewStore Movement can provide a virtuous cycle in which the entrepreneurial intentionstranslate to real ventures that can support the economic growth and create employmentopportunities. Ultimately, the movement is meant to not only provide a sound solutionto the on-going unemployment crisis but also contribute to continuous and stableeconomic growth.
