<五友歌>ㆍ<꽃나무>ㆍ<冬天>의 짜임새와 ‘空間’에 관한 비교 고찰 (Comparative Analysis on the Structure and 'Space' of ㆍㆍ)

초록

이 고찰은 尹善道의 <五友歌>(제6수), 李箱의 <꽃나무>, 徐廷柱의 <冬天>을 대상으로 작품 내용의 내적 외적 짜임새와, ‘空間’의 속성을 가진 글감들의 문맥에서의 의미와 기능을 분석, 비교한 것이다.
짜임새에서 세 작품들의 특성을 보여주는 것은 轉換과 그 方法이다. 세 작품은 문맥의 轉換處를 경계로 두 부분으로 나누어진다. <五友歌>의 전환은 종장 前半 句에서 일어나는데, 같은 의미로 사용된 표현(비추다)을 다른 표현(보다, 말 아니하다)으로 바꾸어 새롭게 표현한 데에서 일어난다. <꽃나무>와 <冬天>의 전환은 앞부분의 내용(꽃나무：꽃나무의 행위, 冬天：고귀한 사랑을 영원히 간직함)
과는 다른 내용(꽃나무：화자의 행위, 冬天：매서운 새의 출현)이 도입되는 데에서 일어난다.
이 전환 방법은 자기 세계와 바깥 세계와의 同化 문제와 관련이 있다. 자기 세계와 바깥 세계와의 同化는 두 세계의 調和를 生成한다. 동화가 되지 않아 서로 동떨어지거나 어느 한 쪽으로 기울어져 균형을 잃게 되면, 불안과 갈등이 자기 안에 자리하게 된다. <五友歌>와 <冬天>에서는 두 세계의 조화를 이루어 天理를 실천하고(五友歌), 고귀한 사랑을 영원히 보존하게(冬天) 된다. 그런 반면에 <꽃나무>에서 스스로 정한 목적(자기가 생각한 꽃나무 모습)을 실현하지 못하게 된 까닭은 자기 세계에만 집착한 때문이다. 自力의 한계(그 꽃나무가 되지 못함)를 해결할 방법을 찾지 못하는 까닭도 자기 세계에서만 머물러 있기 때문이다. 형이상학적 이념이든 신앙적 믿음이든 그 자기 밖의 세계가 자기 삶의 방향을 스스로 이끌어가는 데 중요한 작용을 한다는 인식이 <五友歌>와 <冬天>에서 作意의
바탕이다. 이 바탕에서 두 작품은 圓滿融通한 思惟를 하고 주제의 보편적 가치를 거두게 된다.
그리고 세 작품 사이에는 공간에 대한 관점의 차이가 있다. <五友歌>에서는 하늘과 지상을 서로 이어 조화시키려는 관점이 내용의 중심이 되고, <冬天>에서는 하늘과 지상을 세속과 천상으로 나누듯이 구분한 관점을 보인다. <꽃나무>에서는 짜임의 겉모양으로는 <冬天>과 같이 자기 세계와 다른 세계를 나누되, 자기 세계에만 관심을 가지고 다른 세계에는 관심을 가지지 않는 관점이 다른 두
작품에서처럼 하늘과 지상을 함께 다루지 않고 지상만 다루는 모양새와도 같다.
이상에서 살핀 세 작품 사이의 차이는 내용 짜임과 공간에 대한 發想에서 비롯된다. <五友歌>에서 天理를 좇아 화자 자신의 삶 자세를 그와 같게 하려는 실천은 현실 실제의 행위이다. 이에 비해 <冬天>에서 화자 자신의 고귀한 사랑을 보존하려고 하늘에 의지하려는 의도는 현실 실제에서 가능한 행위가 아니다. 그리고 하늘과 매서운 새의 관계를 평면적으로 설정한 것도 실제를 굴절시켜 보인 虛
構라는 점이 둘 다 같다. 자연의 현상을 조작하여 인위적인 목적에 맞춘 의도적 허구의 방법을 사용한 것이다. <꽃나무>에서도 이러한 허구적 조작 방법을 사용한다. <五友歌>의 實際와 <冬天> <꽃나무>의 虛構는 하늘과 지상, 자기 세계와 다른 세계를 합쳐 보고 나누어 본 관점에서 결과적으로 나타나게 되는 차이다.

영어초록

This study is about looking into the internal and external structure of Yun Seon-do尹善道's <Poetry of Five Friends>(the 6th piece), Yi Sang李箱's <Flower Tree>, Seo Jeong-ju徐廷柱's <Winter Sky> and analyzing and comparing the meaning and the function of the subject matter which has 'spacious attribute'.
With regard to the structure, the prominent features can be found from a change-over and a method. These three literary works are respectively divided into two section through a change-over point. The change-over of <Poetry of Five Friends> can be seen from the first half part in a way that the same meaning(shine on) is described in new expressions(look at, hold one's
tongue). The change over of <Flower Tree>ㆍ<Winter Sky> is carried out in a way that the second half part (Flower Tree: action of a speaker, Winter Sky: appearance of a fearful bird ) introduces the different substance from the first half part(Flower Tree: action of a flower tree, Winter Sky: keeping noble love in one's heart forever)
This way of change-over is related to a matter of adaptation between the self and the outer world. The adaptation between the self and the outer world will make a harmony. When they are isolated from each other without adaptation and lose balance, they will be thrown into anxiety and disagreement.
In <Poetry of Five Friends> and <Winter Sky>, the self accord with the outer world, so the natural laws are practiced(Poetry of Five Friends) and the noble love is kept forever(Winter Sky). On the other hand, in <Flower Tree> its intention(what it want itself to be) can not come true because it sticks to its self. The reason why it can not find the solution on the limit of his own effort(it can not be the flower tree) is also that it try to have its own way.
The point of the writer in <Poetry of Five Friends> and <Winter Sky> is the fact that the outer world can play an important role in leading the self whether it is metaphysical or religious belief. In this way, the two literary works bring about the amicable thinking and obtain the universal value of a subject.
In addition, there is a gap of viewpoint on space among the three literary works. While the sky and the earth an object of harmony in <Poetry of Five Friends>, they are definitely distinguished from each other in <Winter Sky>. In <Flower Tree>, the self and the outer world seemingly are divided. But it only refers to the earth while the others deal with the sky and the earth at the same time.
As mentioned above, the difference among the three literary works come from the structure and the idea of space. In <Poetry of Five Friends>, the speaker try to live up to the natural laws and it is realistically possible. On the other hand, the speaker in <Winter Sky> wants to rely on the sky to keep noble love in his heart and it is impossible in the real world.
The relation between the sky and a fearful bird is established flatly. It can be also a fiction in that it distorts the reality. The writer artificially used the way of fiction manufacturing a natural phenomenon. This technique is also used In <Flower Tree>. The reality of <Poetry of Five Friends> and the fiction of <Winter Sky> and <Flower Tree> result from the way of thinking in which the writers divide or unite the sky, the earth and the self, the outer world.
