청소년 삶의 질 척도 타당화 연구 (Adolescent Quality of Life Questionnaire: Validity and Reliability Study)

초록

본 연구는 청소년의 삶의 질 척도를 타당화하는 것을 목적으로 하였다. 이를 위해 선행연구와 기존 도구를 고찰하여 97문항을 취합하였다. 전문가의 내용타당도 검증을 거쳐 41명의 중학생을 대상으로 에비조사를 실시한 후 문항 분석을 통해 59문항을 선별하였다. 이 문항들에 대해 2,265명의 중고등학생을 대상으로 탐색적 요인분석, 문항 재분석을 실시하여 38문항으로 이루어진 6요인을 도출하였다. 6요인은 만족감, 친밀감, 안정감, 의미성, 주도성, 정서성으로 명명하였다. 이를 다시 823명의 중고등학생을 대상으로 확인적 요인분석을 실시해 이전 요인분석에서 밝힌 요인구조의 적합성과 안정성을 확인하였다. 그 결과, 쾌락적 접근으로의 만족감, 안정감, 정서성과 자기실현적 접근으로의 친밀감, 의미성, 주도성의 위계적 2차 요인 모형을 발견할 수 있었다. 청소년 삶의 질 전체와 각 하위요인들 간 상관관계, 요인타당도를 산출해 구인타당도를 검증하였다. 또, 삶의 질과 우울, 학교생활적응, 자기존중감, 낙관성 간의 상관관계 분석 결과를 통해 준거타당도를 확인하였다. 삶의 질 척도가 우울 집단과 비교 집단, 낙관 집단과 비교 집단을 잘 판별하는 것으로 나타나 변별타당도를 입증하였다. 삶의 질 척도는 내적 일치도, 반분신뢰도, 5주 간격의 검사 재검사를 통해 내적 일관성, 시간적 안정성을 갖춘 것으로 나타났다. 이로써 청소년의 삶의 질 척도는 삶의 질의 영역들을 발견하였고 이 요소들이 철학적 관점에서의 쾌락적 및 자기실현적 접근으로 포함되는 위계적 구조임을 밝혔으며 두 접근을 포괄하는 통합모형을 제시할 수 있었다. 끝으로 본 연구의 시사점 및 제한점을 논의하였다.

영어초록

This study sets out to construct the content of quality of life, and validate the quality of life questionnaire for adolescents in South Korea based on the content. In validating the inventory of this study, we reviewed the previously published literatures and proved existing scales. We the collected the 97-items for the Adolescent Quality of Life Questionnaire (A-QoL). It was the approved by professionals in these fields in order to validate the contents of the questionnaire. We then selected the 59-items after a preliminary investigation and item analysis for 41 middle school students. And we were able to draw 38 questions in six areas through exploratory factor analysis and item re-analysis based on 2,265 middle and high school students. Thus, the 38-items and six areas A-QoL is valid. This scale consists of six factors: Satisfaction, Intimacy, Stability, Meaningfulness, Initiative, and Affectivity. Also as a result of confirmatory factor analysis based on 823 middle and high school students, we can confirm that the factor structure of A-QoL is also reliable. In the light of this finding, we categorized in the areas of hedonia and eudaimonia, which were then sub-categorized into satisfaction, intimacy, stability, meaningfulness, initiative, and affectivity: hierarchical model structure about hedonic A-QoL (satisfaction, stability, affectivity) and eudaimonic A-QoL (intimacy, meaningfulness, initiative). We could check the evidence based on internal structure through A-QoL sub-factors correlation analysis, and factorial validity: so the overall A-QoL has significant correlations with each of its sub-factors and the overall A-QoL and each of its sub-factors has significant correlations with depression, adjustment to school life, self-esteem, and optimism for adolescents. And we could examine evidence based on relations to other variables in test-criterion relationships and discriminant evidence: so the A-QoL is capable of discrimination between depressive and normal groups, optimistic and non-optimistic groups, thus the A-QoL is a valid scale. Additionally, internal consistency reliability, split-half reliability, and test-retest reliability were computed, so we were able to identify the general internal consistency and timing stability of the A-QoL. The implications for the study include expanded explanation for the quality of life for adolescents. Suggestions for future research were also discussed.
