초록

초등학교에 있어 교실은 학생들의 생활공간이면서 학습장소로서 물리적이고 정신적인 영향을 미치는 중요한 교육의 장이라 할 수 있다. 이러한 교실 내에서 학생들에게 영향을 주는 빛, 열, 공기, 음과 같은 환경 요인 중 빛 환경은 학생들의 학습 효과 향상과 신체적ㆍ심리적 발달 과정에 큰 영향을 미치기 때문에 적절한 빛 환경 유지가 중요하다. 따라서 본 연구는 경기도 소재의 4개 초등학교를 선정하여 교실의 빛 환경 실태를 평가함으로써 보다 나은 학교 교실의 빛 환경개선을 위한 기초 자료를 제시하고자 하였다.

In elementary school, the classroom is a living space for students and an important place of education that has a physical and mental impact.
Among environmental factors such as light, heat, air, and sound that affect students in classrooms, the light have a significant impact on thelearning effectiveness and physical and psychological development processes of elementary school students. So, it is very important tomaintain an appropriate lighting level in elementary school classrooms. For the study, four elementary schools located in Gyeonggi Provincewere selected, and then, the illumination levels to play a critical role of maintaining the light environment in elementary school classroomswere measured, and a survey on lighting satisfaction for students and teachers in the classroom was conducted. The first step of the researchis to examine the lighting theories for school classroom through literature study. The second step is to analyze the lighting measurements ofeach school classroom. The third step is to analyze and evaluate the survey results on lighting satisfaction of students and teachers. Themeasured illumination levels showed that four elementary schools had two or five times higher lighting distribution than recommendedillumination level of 300–400–600 Lux. The survey results on lighting condition in classrooms showed very high satisfaction of 72.4% to100%, and in a survey on glare, 0% to 22.9% of the respondents said they had experienced glare. However, direct sunlight entering theclassroom resulted in visual imbalance in the classroom. Therefore, the shading devices such as louvers, and light shelves should be installedto control excessive inflow of natural light, and the inflow of natural light must be considered when designing artificial lighting levels.
