중학교 혼성체육수업에서 나타나는 양성불평등 사례분석 (A Case Analysis on Gender Inequality Appearing in Coed Physical Education Class of Middle School)

초록

본 연구는 중학교 남·녀 학생들이 혼성체육수업에서 체험하는 양성불평등 사례는 무엇이며, 그것이 어떠한 범주로 나타나는지 분석하고자 수행되었다. 이를 위해 J시에 소재한 3개 중학교를 임의로 선정하여 180명(학년별 60명)씩 총 540명의 학생을 설문조사하였다. 설문결과 무응답(85명), 불만 없음(92명)을 제외한 363명이 선정되었으며, 설문지 내용은 개방형 질문지로 귀납적 범주분석을 통하여 정리하였다. 본 연구방법을 통하여 분석한 결과 다음과 같이 세부영역(749개), 중영역(15개), 일반영역(5개)으로 나타났으며, 일반영역은 1)수업관리 2)수업내용 3)수업방법 4)평가 5)기타로 범주화 되었다. 구체적으로 1)수업관리는 복장, 수업규칙, 수업공간, 수업자원, 처벌 2)수업내용은 종목선정 3)수업방법은 학습활동, 과제제시, 피드백제공, 수업관찰 4)평가는 평가기준, 평가종목, 기회부여 5)기타영역은 학생상호작용, 체육교사로 분류되었다. 사례분석 결과 양성불평등에 대하여 학생이 많이 느낀 영역은 수업관리에서 남학생이 수업규칙과 처벌, 여학생은 수업공간과 수업자원, 수업내용에서 여학생이 종목선정, 수업방법에서는 남학생이 피드백제공, 여학생은 수업관찰, 평가는 남학생이 평가기준으로 나타났다. 끝으로, 기타영역에서는 학생상호작용 및 남자 체육선생님의 부족함이 여학생의 양성불평 요인으로 나타났다.

The purpose of this study is to find the cases of gender inequality that male and female middle school students experience in their co-ed physical education class and analyze their categories. To achieve the purpose, this study set the students going to middle schools located in J city as population and chose three middle schools by using convenience sampling. And then it conducted a questionnaire survey with 180 students of each school (60 students of each grade), a total of 540 students. Among the collected copies, those without answers (85 students) and those with no complaints (92 students) were excluded. Finally, 363 copies were used. The questionnaire was based on open-ended questions, and was categorized by inductive content analysis. According to the category analysis, there were detailed area (749 questions), intermediate area (15 parties), and general area (5 parties). The general area was categorized into 1) class management, 2) class content, 3) class method, 4) evaluation, and 5) others. 1) class management was classified into class rules, class resources, class space, and punishments; 2) class content was classified into event selection; 3) class method was classified into learning activity, task suggestion, feedback offering, and class observation; 4) evaluation was classified into evaluation criteria, evaluation events, and opportunity offering; 5) others were classified into interaction of students, and physical education teacher. According to the case analysis on gender inequality that male and female students felt a lot, in the class management area, male students answered class rules and punishments, and female students answered class space and class resources; in the class content area, female students answered event selection; in the class method area, male students answered feedback offering, and female students class observation; in the evaluation area, male students answered evaluation criteria; in the others area, female students was presented interaction of male and female students and a lack of male physical education teachers as the factors of gender inequality.
