시각디자인 교육 기반의 디지털 퍼블리싱 앱북 디자인 체계 연구 (A Study on the Design System of Digital Publishing App Book Based on Visual Design Education)

초록

연구배경: 미디어 환경이 변화하고 태블릿PC의 수요가 급증함에 따라 출판미디어 영역에서는 스마트 미디어 시대에 걸맞은 디지털 콘텐츠를 계속해서 선보이고 있다.
연구방법: 본 연구는 매체 전환에 따른 출판양식의 변화, 즉 디지털 퍼블리싱 앱북의 전반적인 개요와 특징을 살펴보고, 앱북의 실례를 근거로 앱북 제작과정의 분석을 통해 디지털 퍼블리싱 앱북의 효과적인 디자인 체계를 형성하고 그에 따른 기초자료를 제시하는데 목적을 두고 있다.
연구결과: 사용자 경험 중심의 물리적 요인, 구조적 요인, 심리적 요인을 통합적으로 구조화하고 그것을 토대로 앱북 콘텐츠의 구조적인 측면과 기술적인 측면을 분석한 결과, 앱북 콘텐츠의 구조적인 측면에서는 전통미디어에서 강조된 한 권의 책이라는 본질성에 근거하여 콘텐츠의 흐름이 진행되어야 한다. 단순히 감각적 자극에 의한 흥미유발에만 중점을 두는 것이 아닌 콘텐츠의 구조적 요인, 즉 정보 간의 인과관계와 전체 문맥을 고려한 콘텐츠 구조를 형성하고, 이에 상응하는 물리적 요인과 구조적 요인이 적용될 때 콘텐츠에 대한 이해도가 향상되어 인지적 경험이 확장되고 경험적 흥미가 지속될 수 있다. 또한 앱북 콘텐츠의 기술적인 측면을 살펴본 결과, 앱북 제작 시 무분별한 인터랙티브 기능의 적용이 아닌 콘텐츠의 목적과 유형, 흐름에 기반을 둔 콘텍스트의 내부에서 관계적 혹은 연결성을 가진 상호작용의 결합이 이루어지고, 그에 따른 상호작용의 레벨이 결정되어야 한다.
결론: 전통미디어 방식과 뉴미디어 방식이 공존하는 현시점에서 '정보'와 '경험'은 상반되는 것이 아닌 상호보완적 관계를 고려하며 발전해나감이 중요하다. 본 연구는 인터랙티브 앱북 프로젝트의 실례를 제시하고 제작 프로세스를 분석함으로써 효과적인 앱북 디자인 체계형성의 가능성을 보여주었다는데 의의를 두는 동시에 디지털 퍼블리싱 디자인을 진행할 경우 앱북 기획과 디자인의 가이드라인을 제시하는데 기초자료로 활용되기를 기대한다.

영어초록

Background: The publishing media industry continues to introduce digital contents in compliance with the ear of smart media as a change in the media environment and increasing the demand for tablet PCs.
Methods: This study reviews the changes of publishing method due to the conversion of the media, namely, it is a general overview and the characteristics of digital publishing app book. Moreover, it aims to form an effective design system of digital publishing app book and present basic data accordingly through analyzing the process of app book production based on the cases of making app book.
Result: The result of analysis of the coordinated organiz- ation of physical, structural, and psychological factors of app book, in the structural aspect of the app book, the flow of the contents should be based on the essence of a copy of a book that was emphasized in the traditional media. It establishes the contents structure that takes into consideration the structural factors of contents, that is to say, the causal relationship between information and the entire context instead of focusing only on arousing interest by sensory stimulation. Putting the corresponding physical and structural factors in place will promote the understanding of the contents, extend the cognitive experience, and sustain the experiential interest as well. In addition, in the technological aspect of the app book, inserting indiscriminately interactive functions in the flow of the contents should be avoided. Instead, relational or connected interactions should be combined within the context based on the purpose, type, and the flow of the contents, followed by determination of the level of contents accordingly.
Conclusion: When the traditional media and new media coexist, it is important that ‘information’ and ‘experience’ are complementary rather than running counter to each other. This study presents actual examples of interactive app book project and finds its meaning in demonstrating the possibility of the development of an effective design system by analyzing the production process, and expect to serve as a basic material to present the guideline if digital publishing app book is proceeding.
