비고츠키의 관점에서 본 부적응아 인성 교육 방안 (Vygotsky's View Point for Instruction of Maladjusted-Children)

초록

이 논문의 목적은 비고츠키 이론에 기초하여 부적응아 인성 지도 방안을 탐색하는 것이다. 일반적으로 부적응아는 또래 아동들에 비해 환경에 잘 적응하지 못하며, 자신의 감정이나 행동을 잘 통제하지 못하는 특성을 가지고 있다. 비고츠키 관점에서, 부적응아는 자기규제력이 부족한 아동이다. 따라서 부적응아의 문제를 해결하기 위해서 자기규제력 함양이 불가피하다. 비고츠키에 의하면, 자기규제는 인간의 고등정신 기능의 핵심적 속성이다. 인간의 고등정신기능은 언어의 매개에 의해 형성된다. 즉, 인간의 고등정신 기능(자기규제)은 언어에 의해 개인간 정신기능이 개인내 정신기능으로의 내면화를 통해 형성된다. 그러므로 자기규제력 형성 역시 언어의 매개를 통해 가능하다. 이러한 점에서, 자기규제력이 약한 부적응아의 발생은 언어 소통의 문제에 기인하는 것으로 이해할 수 있다. 이는 가장 먼저 부모와의 언어소통 그리고 또래들 간의 의사소통의 문제로 소급될 수 있다. 그러므로 부적응아의 문제 해결의 핵심은 소극적으로는 부모나 어른 혹은 또래간의 의사소통의 방해 요인을 제거하는 것이며, 적극적으로는 어른이나 또래간의 언어적 상호작용을 통해 자기규제력을 함양하도록 하는 것이다. 부적응아 지도를 위한 효과적인 지도 방안으로는 비고츠키의 이론에 기반을 두고 있는 자기 자신에게 말하기, 놀이, 협동학습 등이 있다.

영어초록

The purpose of this study was to inquire methods for instruction and understanding of Vygotsky's perspective on maladjusted children. In general, maladjusted children mean children who not reach the average of peer's group action and not adapt themselves to their environment. Usually, they can't regulate their action and emotion. From Vygotsky's perspective, maladjusted children fall short of the ability of self-regulation. So, to resolve the problem of maladjusted children is to cultivate the ability of self-regulation.
He makes it clear that higher mental function of man is formed by means of language. That is, higher mental function of man is affected by environment and advances from inter-psychological function to intra-psychological function through language. As we grow up, these higher mental functions are internalized through language(external, private, inner speech).
The most important attribute of these higher mental functions is the ability of self-regulation. And an important mechanism for higher mental functions is language. So the ability of self-regulation is formed through language. In this connection, the problem of communication with adult or capable peers is fairly responsible for the maladjusted children. The problem of communication with adult or capable peers results from the absence of instruction ability and deficit of affective correlation with adult or capable peers.
Therefor, the solution's key for the problem of maladjusted children is to remove the components of hinderance in communication with adult or capable peers and help them cultivating the ability of self-regulation through verbal reciprocity with adults or more capable peers. That is, it is very important to construct effective communication with adult or capable peers.
In this connection, many strategies Vygotsky and his disciples present provide suggestions for remedy with maladjusted children. In the ZPD, by providing scaffolding verbal reciprocity with adults or more capable peers can effectively occurs. Among other strategies, learning through play creates ZPD and gives rise to children's interesting. Especially, a collaborative learning is able to occur the effective verbal reciprocity by means of inquiry through mutual cooperation.
