병원의 성장단계와 지식경영 발전단계별 경영 특성 (A Management Characteristics of The Growth Stage of Hospital and The Development Stage of Knowledge Management)

초록

본 연구는 조직의 성장단계와 지식경영 발전단계에 관한 이론을 고찰하여 지식정보사회에서 변화하는 병원환경을 적응하기 위하여 자기병원의 성장단계를 확인하고, 자기병원의 성장단계에 적합한 지식경영 발전단계의 경영특성을 갖추게 하는데 목적을 두고 있다.
본 연구는 조직 성장 단계와 지식경영 발전단계 이론을 토대로 연구의 분석틀을 구축하고, 설문지를 구성하였다.
본 연구의 가설검정 결과는 다음과 같다.
첫째, 최고경영자 요인에서는 3단계병원, 2단계 병원, 1단계병원의 순으로 나타나 성장단계에 따른 경영특성의 차이를 잘 보이고 있다. 둘째, 조직문화 요인과 평가와 보상 요인에서는 1단계 병원이 다른 단계의 병원들보다 더 가족적인 분위기와 평가와 보상에 더 적극성을 보이고 있다. 셋째, 조직구조 요인에서는 3단계 병원이 다른 단계의 병원들보다 의사결정이 신속하게 이루어지는 경영특성을 보이고 있다.
넷째, 지식관리 시스템 요인에서는 인사관리 DB, 자재관리 DB, 구매 관리 DB, 회계 관리 DB에서는 1단계 병원이, 환자관리 DB에서는 3단계 병원이 높게 나타나 소규모 병원은 내부관리에, 대규모 병원은 환자관리에 중점을 두는 경영특성을 보이고 있다.
본 연구의 가설검증결과는 5가지 요인에서 부분적으로 채택되어 병원환경의 변화에 대응하기 위한 병원들의 적극적인 노력이 필요하다는 것을 시사한다. 본 연구는 전라북도에 소재하는 병원을 조사대상으로 하여 우리나라 전체 병원의 경영특성을 반영하지 못했다는 한계를 안고 있으며, 지식경영의 단계별 경영특성을 규명하여 병원환경변화에 대처하기 위한 후속연구가 이어지기를 기대한다.

영어초록

The following study analysis the 18 categories from each do the 5 factors of management characteristic ; CEO, organizational culture, assessment and reward, organizational structure and knowledge management system in relation to the growth stage of hospital and the development stage of knowledge management.
The significant, outcomes and limitations of the study are as following.
1. In regard to the factor of CEO, it has shown in the order of 3rd stage hospital, 2nd stage hospital and 1st stage hospital and the CEO of 3rd stage hospital tends to be more sensitive about the environmental changes of the hospital than the CEO of other stages.
2. In regard to the factor of organizational culture among members it has appeared in the order of 1st stage hospital, 3rd stage hospital and 2nd stage hospital and the members of 1st stage hospital has displayed more characteristics of family atmosphere compared with the other stage hospitals.
3. In relation to the factor of evaluation and reward it was found to be in the order of 1st stage hospital, 3rd stage hospital and 2nd stage hospital with 1st stage hospital having displaying more enthusiastic tendency than other stage hospitals.
4. In relation to the factor of organizational structure and decision-making within daily operations, it was found to be in the order of 3rd stage hospital, 2nd stage hospital and 1st stage hospital. While, critical business decisions and initial business decisions was found to be in the order of 3rd stage hospital, 1st stage hospital and 2nd stage hospital.
5. In relation to the factor of knowledge management system, 1st stage hospital has been shown to be the highest among 4 item of DB construction and utilization of human resource management, DB construction and utilization of material management, DB construction and utilization of purchase management and DB construction and utilization of accounting management. DB construction and utilization of patient management was found to be the highest in 3rd stage hospital, implying smaller hospital's tendency to focus on internal management and the large hospital's tendency to focus on management of patients.
6. The hypothesis that there will be differences in 5 factors ; CEO, organizational culture, evaluation and reward, organizational structure and knowledge management system has been partially adopted to acknowledge that Korean hospitals tend to have low awareness toward the changes in hospital environment and knowledge management drawing attention to the need of hospitals to show greater effort in improving there responsiveness to changes in hospital environment.
7. The following study has only surveyed the hospital within jeonllabukdo and therefore, it has its limitation in that the study could not reflect the management characteristics of all hospitals within country. It is hoped that subsequent research on the hospital management will be conducted, including further study into the characteristics of the knowledge management by stages in order to deal with environmental changes within hospitals.
