초록

본 연구는 색채를 통해 지역의 경관이미지를 개선하고자 하는 의도에서 가로변건축물의 색채환경을 경관적 측면에서 다루고자 하였다. 즉, 기성시가지 도심의 주요가로를 대상으로 보행환경에 대한 제반 문제점을 살펴보고, 가로변건축물의 색채환경 특성을 파악함으로써 향후 도시가로경관 가로변건축물의 색채계획시 참조할 수 있는 기초 자료로 제공하고자 한다.

영어초록

The purpose of this study is to find problems of the color environment of street buildings in terms of the urban streetscape. Therefore, based on main urban streets, and color environmental characteristics of buildings in the street, the study analyzes pedestrian environmental problems. The analysis based on improving landscape images in urban street space are following.
1) The investigated street is needed to give a symbolism as the urban gateway. The streets image also should be raised higher as the cultural symbolic street through color managements in large-scale buildings and street furniture, which is scattered in entrance space. 2) The overall atmosphere of pedestrian spaces is that the width of the sidewalk is narrow as well as safety device facilities in the street are not enough for the pedestrian. Therefore, it makes an oppressive street environment due to the lack of the public open spaces for people. 3) The main color of street building is mainly composed of red color system, and there is a dark atmosphere in the whole street images of being painted in low value color, middle and high chroma color. 4) A building facade, road and pavement of a street, which can make the continuous street images in the city, should not use primary color if possible. This may produce the continuous street images more than anything else by decreasing the color differences among the neighboring buildings’ main colors. 5) It is eschewed to use too stimulative design and advertising signboard using a colored frame. In addition, it is primarily considered to be embossed in the building façade, which can make urban landscape.
