초록

이 논문은 『주역』이 과연 2진법의 체계로 만들어졌는가 하는 문제의식을 토대로, 『주역』이 2진법 체계가 아니라 오히려 인공지능(AI)에서 애매모호성과 불확실성(不確實性)에 대응하는 핵심적인 퍼지(Fuzzy)이론과 유사성이 있음을 고찰하였다. 이를 논증하기 위하여 첫째, 『주역』의 괘효가 2진법 체계로 만들어졌다는 소옹(邵雍)의 일분위이법(一分爲二法) 가설(假說)의 오해와 진실. 둘째, 인공지능 퍼지이론의 논리와 『주역』에서 ‘음양의 예측 불가능성’이라는 불확실성을 정의한 ‘신(神)’ 개념의 구체적인 의미. 셋째, 불확실성에 대응할 ‘변(變)’의 해석법으로 대표적인 효변, 괘변, 호체의 해석법과 그 사례를 고찰하였다. 이로써 『주역』은 규칙적인 변화와 함께 예측하기 어려운 불확실성을 고려한 역리(易理)를 구현하고 있음을 논하였다.
결과적으로 『주역』은 2치(値)의 변수가 아니라 다치(多値)의 변수를 고려한다. 저자인 성인(聖人)은 2진법의 체계로 괘효를 만들 의도와 계획이 전혀 없었다. 그것은 9(九)와 6(六)의 ‘효(爻)’에 이미 사상(四象)의 뜻을 중층적으로 담았기 때문이다. 또 『주역』은 우주자연과 인간사에 내재되어 있는 수많은 불확실성의 요소를 ‘신(神)’ 개념으로 정의하고, 이 신(神)을 통해서 지기(知幾)와 지변(知變)을 하고자 했다. 더불어 불확실성에 대응할 방법론으로 ‘변(變)’의 해석법이라는 고도로 지능적인 인식과 원리를 내재시켰다. 이러한 ‘변의 해석법’은 성인사도(聖人四道) 가운데 ‘변(變)’을 중심으로 ‘상(象)’과 관련되며, 사(辭)와 점(占)과도 유기적인 관계가 있다.
따라서 소옹의 가일배적 일분위이법은 『주역』의 근본 역리를 오독한 오류가 있다. 또 라이프니츠(Leibniz)도 소옹의 도상을 복희가 만들었다고 생각했으며, 『주역』의 괘효상에 담긴 심층적 원리를 착각한 채 형상만을 중요하게 보았다. 『주역』은 2진법 체계보다는 ‘불확실성’을 중요하게 설명해 복잡한 세상의 다치 원리를 구현한 퍼지이론과 유사하다. 그러므로 소옹의 일분위이법의 가설은 재고(再考)되어야 할 것이다.

영어초록

This paper started with the question of whether the 『Zhouyi(周易)』 was created as a binary system, and considered that 『Zhouyi』 is not a binary system, but rather a key fuzzy theory that responds to the Uncertainty in artificial intelligence. To demonstrate this, we looked at the following. First, the misunderstanding and truth of the Shao Yong(邵雍)'s ‘the hypothesis of Split into two method(一分爲二法)’ that the Hexagram(卦) and the line(爻: Yao) of 『Zhouyi』 was made into a binary system. Second, the detailed logic of the artificial intelligence fuzzy theory and the concept of ‘the God’ that defines ‘the unpredictability of yin and yang(陰陽)’ which means uncertainty in 『Zhouyi』. Third, representative interpretation methods of ‘the change(變)’ corresponding to uncertainty the change of the line(爻變), the change of hexagram(卦變), Interbody(互體), and examples of its interpretation. As a result, it was discussed that 『Zhouyi』 is a literature that realizing ‘the law of changes(易理)’ in consideration of regular changes and uncertainties that are difficult to predict.
As a result, 『Zhouyi』 considered the variables of Multi value(多値) rather than Binary value(二値), The author, Saint, contains with Multi-layered the meaning of Four images(四象) in ‘the line(爻)’ without any intention or plan to make the Hexagram(卦) and the line(爻) in a binary system. In addition, he defined the countless uncertainties inherent in space nature and human history as the concept of ‘the God’, emphasizing the importance of grasping ‘The God’ in the knowing stain(知幾) and knowing the changes(知變). In addition, the interpretation methods of ‘the change’ to cope with uncertainties shows highly intelligent perceptions, principles and insights. Interpretations methods of ‘the change’ is characterized by having an organic relationship as the core of its judgments(辭), its Divinatory(占) among ‘the fourfold Dao of the holy sages[聖人四道 : its judgments(辭), its changes(變), its images(象), its Divinatory(占)] Therefore, Shao Yong's double additional ‘the hypothesis of Split into two method’ has an error of misreading the fundamental ‘the law of changes’(易理) of 『Zhouyi』. In addition, Leibniz also thought that Fu Xi(伏羲) made the iconography of Shao Yong, and he mistook the deep principles contained in 『Zhouyi』’s Hexagram and Line Symbols and viewed only the shape as important. 『Zhouyi』 is similar to the fuzzy logic of artificial intelligence that implements more complex principles by explaining ambiguity and uncertainty more importantly than the binary system. Therefore, Shao Yong's hypothesis, which sees 『Zhouyi』 as a binary system, should be reconsidered.
