2015 개정 교육과정 사회과 성취기준 구현을 위한 프로그램 설계 방안 연구 - 백워드 설계를 중심으로 (A Study on the Program Design for Implementing the Social Science Achievement Standards in 2015 Revised Curriculum - Focusing on Backward Design)

초록

이 연구의 목적은 교사가 교육과정의 적극적인 실행자로서, 그리고 학생들에게 유의미한 학습 경험을 제공하기 위한 2015 개정 교육과정의 변화와 취지에 부합하기 위해 백워드를 기반으로 한 사회과 수업 설계 방안을 제시하는 것이다. 이를 위해서 2015 개정 교육과정 핵심역량과 사회과 교과 역량의 관계, 사회과 교과 역량과 성취기준의 관계를 살펴보고 사회과 성취기준을 구현할 수 있는 수업 설계 방법으로 백워드 설계 방식을 탐색하였다. 그리고 백워드 설계 방식에 따라 사회과 성취기준 구현을 위한 단계별 프로그램 설계 과정을 제시하였으며 다음과 같은 시사점을 도출하였다. 첫째, 초등 사회과에서 백워드 설계는 학습 활동이 성취기준과 유기적으로 연결되도록 하여 학습 활동이 활동에서 끝나지 않고 성취기준에 도달할 수 있도록 하는 설계 방법이라 할 수 있다. 둘째, 사회과에서 성취기준을 도달하도록 하면서 동시에 교과 역량이 발현되는 수행과제를 어떻게 구성해야 할지에 대한 방법으로 사회과 기능의 구체화를 제시하였다. 이는 사회과 교과 역량이 드러날 수 있는 사회과 기능을 선정하고, 이러한 사회과 기능이 발휘될 수 있는 수행과제를 구성함으로써 성취기준-교과 역량-수행과제가 유기적인 관계를 갖도록 할 수 있다. 셋째, 차후 사회과 성취기준 구현을 위한 백워드 설계를 위해서는 성취기준을 구성하고 있는 사회과 기능에 대한 계열화, 교과 역량과 사회과 기능과의 관계 구체화, 사회과 성취기준 도달 여부를 수행의 과정 속에서 확인할 수 있는 다양한 과정평가에 대한 연구가 필요하다.

영어초록

The purpose of this study is to provide a backward-based social studies instructional design for teachers to be active practitioners of the curriculum and to correspond to the changes and aims of the 2015 revised curriculum to provide meaningful learning experiences to students. To this end, this study examined the relationship between the key competencies of the 2015 revised curriculum and subject competencies of social studies, and the relationship between subject competencies of social studies and achievement standards. The backward design was explored as a class design method to implement social studies achievement standards. In addition, the step-by-step program design process for the implementation of social studies achievement standard was presented according to the backward design method, and the following implications were derived. First, in elementary social studies, backward design is a design method that allows learning activities to be organically connected to achievement standards so that learning activities can be reached achievement standards without ending in activities. Second, this study suggests the specification of social studies skill as a method of how to compose the performance task in which subject competencies are expressed while reaching achievement standards in social studies. This can ensure that the achievement standards-subject competencies-performance tasks have an organic relationship by selecting social studies skills in which the subject competencies of social studies can be revealed and composing performance tasks in which these social studies skills can be exercised. Third, in order to the backward design for the implementation of social studies achievement standards in the future, they are needed the systemization of social studies skills which are constituting the achievement standards, the relationship specification between the curriculum competences and social studies skills, and the research on various process assessments which can be found in the course of performance whether achievement standards are reached.
