K-poet의 미적 양상과 문학사적 의미 (Aesthetic Aspects of K-poet And Its Literary Meaning)

초록

본고는 K-poet에 중심에 있는 한류 시인들의 시편에 주목하고 세계의 문학사적 특징과 번역 시편의 미적 의식을 탐구하는 데 있다. 이를 위해 한류 시인들이 그동안 수상한 국제 문학상의 종류와 기능 등의 특징을 살펴보고 시인들을 탐색하면서 대표적인 번역시를 재조명 이로써 해외 문학상이 가지고 있는 위상과 번역시의 의미화 과정에 대해 논의했다.
세계문학 속 K-poet의 의의와 전망을 타진하기 위해 국외 문학상을 받은 수상자들의 시편의 미적 양상과 의미를 세 가지로 살폈다. 첫째 고은(1933~)과 신경림(1936~)의 시편을 역사적 감정과 상흔의 노래, 둘째 문정희(1947~)와 최동호(1948~) 시편을 시대적 감각성과 모성성의 언어, 셋째 김혜순(1955~)과 김이듬(1966~) 시편을 현대적 감수성과 분열된 문장으로 분석했다.
이같이 국외 문학상 수상자들의 특징을 살펴보면 김이듬을 제외한 나머지 시인들은 1950년에서 1970년대 등단한 중견 시인으로 다수의 저서와 국내 주요 문학상 수상 이력이 있다. 그리고 자신의 저서들이 영어, 불어, 독어, 스페인어로 번역되어 출판되어 외국 초청 강연을 하는 등 국내외적으로 평균 70세 이상의 고령을 넘어 활발한 문학 활동을 전개하고 있다. 또한 고은을 제외한 나머지 시인들은 대학에서 국문학 또는 영문학(신경림), 독문학(김이듬) 등 문학 전공자이거나 대학원에서는 국문학으로 박사 과정을 마치고, 대학에서 전임이나 비전임 교원으로 후학들을 양성하는 등의 교육자라는 점이다. 거기에 고은과 최동호의 배우자가 영문학을 전공하고 대학에서 영문학을 가르치는 교수라는 점에서 이들의 문학이 세계 출판시장 진출에 미친 영향도 간과해서는 안 된다.
살펴본 문학상에서 선정된 수상자들의 대표 작품들의 주된 흐름과 작품성은 K-문학을 견인하고 있는 세계적인 시편이라는 점에 주목할 수 있으며 지구적으로 변방 문학에서 중앙 문학으로 나아가는 데 기여한다. 여기서 세계적인 문학상은 바로 개인적인 정서를 세계의 보편적인 정서로 담아낸 번역시의 결과물이다. 따라서 번역은 반역이 아니라 새로운 창조물로서 지구적으로 소통 가능한 언어 예술이 아닐 수 없다는 점이다.

영어초록

This article focuses on the poetry of Korean Wave poets at the heart of K-poet and explores the historical characteristics of the world's literature and the aesthetic consciousness of translated poetry. For this reason, by looking at the characteristics such as the types and functions of Korean Wave poets who have won awards in international literature, and searching for poets, we will re-examine the representative translation poem to find out the phase of the overseas literary award and the meaning process of the translation poem.
In order to sound out the significance and prospects of K-poet in world literature, the aesthetic aspects and meanings of the psalms of the winners of the Foreign Literature Award were summarized into three. First, Ko Eun(1933~) and Shin Gyeongrim(1936~)'s poems are divided into historical emotional and scarred songs, secondly, Moon Jeonghui(1947~) and Choi Dongho(1948~)'s poems are divided into a sense of the times and the language of motherhood, and thirdly, Kim Hyesun(1955~) and Kim Ideum(1966~)'s poems are divided into modern sensitivity and splitting writing.
Looking at the characteristics of the winners of foreign literary awards, the remaining poets except Kim Ideum are middle-ranking poets who appeared in the 1950s and 1970s, and have won numerous books and major Korean literature awards. His books have been translated into English, French, German and Spanish, and he is actively engaged in literary activities beyond the average age of over 70 at home and abroad, giving lectures invited to foreign countries. In addition, the rest of the poets, excluding Ko Eun, are literature majors in Korean literature, English literature(Shin Gyeongrim), and German literature(Kim Ideum) in universities, or educators such as completing Ph.D. in Korean literature in graduate schools and training juniors as full-time or non-executive teachers. Given that the spouses of Ko Eun and Choi Dongho are professors majoring in English literature and teaching English literature at universities, the impact of their literature on entering the global publishing market should not be overlooked.
It can be noted that the main flow and work quality of the representative works of the winners selected for the Literature Award are the world-famous psalms that are leading the K-literature, which contributes to the transition from frontier literature to central literature. Here, the world literary award is the result of a translation poem that incorporates personal emotions into the world's universal emotions. Therefore, translation is not treason, but a language art that can be communicated globally as a new creation.
