현대중국어 ‘给+VP’의 문법화와 주관화- 피동문을 중심으로 - (Grammarization and Subjectivization of ‘给VP’ in Modern Chinese -Focusing on Passive Sentence)

초록

문법화를 통해 ‘給’는 동사, 개사, 조사로 의미와 기능이 확대되었다. 피동이나 처치의 뜻을 나타내는 문장에서 ‘給(gei)’은 ‘把(ba)’，‘叫(jiao)’,‘讓(rang)’에 매우 의존적인 데다 단지 어기(語氣)를 강하게 하는 것 외에는 아무 기능이 없어 생략해도 되는 것으로 인식되어왔다. 그러나 ‘給+VP’는 현대중국어 피동문의 대표적인 유형 가운데 하나로 꼽힐 만큼 사용빈도가 높다.
이 논문은 피동문을 중심으로 현대중국어 입말에서 사용되는 ‘給+VP’의 문법화와 주관화를 연구한 내용이다. ‘給’의 문법화 과정을 살펴보고, 추상화(abstraction)와 ‘VP’의 구성 등을 주요 내용으로 ‘給+VP’의 주관화에 대해 알아보았다. 입말에서 ‘給+VP’는 자기중심적인 관점을 통해 화자가 자신이 말하는 상황과 관련이 있음을 표현한다.

영어초록

Through grammaticalization, the meaning and functions of ‘給 (gei)’ have expanded into verb, preposition and postposition. In passive sentences, 給 is often considered omissible, as it greatly depends on ‘把(ba)’, ‘叫(jiao)’ and ‘譲(rang)’, and is thought to have no function other than making the tone and style sound stronger. However, the phrase ‘給+VP’ is so frequently used that it is regarded as one of the most common passive patterns in modern Chinese.
This paper analyzes ‘給+VP’ from the perspective of subjectivization, not dividing ‘給’ as part of speech, but as a passive sign expressed in a combined structure with VP.
Although subjectivization and grammaticalization are different fields, they are the same in terms of studying speech.
In oral speech, the ‘給+NP+VP’ and ‘給+VP’ types both belong to the passive sentence type. However, the omission of NP in ‘給+NP+VP’ can be viewed as a process for focusing. For example, speaking of the difference between “他给人骗了” and “他给骗了(He cheated.)”, the former focuses on 'who was deceived by whom and in the process', and the latter focuses on 'the fact(results) in which he was deceived'. put And this focalization is determined by whether it is possible to shift the focus. In the passive type '給+VP', 'VP' is expressed as a broadcast structure or a complete type, etc. In this paper, in particular, focusing on the broadcast structure, '給+VP' is a passive sentence type, so detailed description of the situation is important. because it is On the other hand, if the VP is in the perfect tense, the focus is on the occurrence of the event.
This paper also looked into subjectivization, especially abstraction, through the example sentence ‘給+VP(dynamic compensation structure)'. The focus sign ‘給’ is expressed in the form of ‘給+VP’ in oral speech, and the speaker expresses that it is related to the situation the speaker is talking about and focuses on it through a self-centered viewing arrangement. This thesis is a study on the grammaticalization and subjectiveization of ‘給+VP’ used in oral modern Chinese, focusing on passive sentences. The process of grammaticalization of '給' was examined, and the subjectivization of '給+VP' was investigated with the main contents of abstraction and the composition of 'VP'. In oral language, ‘給+VP’ expresses that the speaker himself is related to the situation in which he is speaking through a self-centered viewing arrangement.
