墓域式支石墓의 出現과 社會相 -韓半島南部의 靑銅器時代生計와 墓制의 地域相- (A Study on the Emergence and Social Image of Grave Boundaries-Burial Ground)

초록

본고는 청동기시대 한반도 남한지역에서 생계방식의 차이에 따라서墓制가 달리 채용되는 일례를 밝히고자 했다. 그리고 생계방식은 기후환경의 영향을 받지만, 취락의 입지와도 밀접한 관련을 가지고 있다.
청동기시대 전기에는 현재보다도 훨씬 온난한 기후라서 중부지역까지도 常綠闊葉樹林帶가 확대되어, 山地를 배경으로 생계를 유지한 집단은수렵채집과 火田을, 강안 충적지에서는 田作이 성행하였을 것이다. 이때의 주된 묘제는 支石墓와 石棺墓였다. 후기가 되면서 기후가 한랭해지고상록활엽수림대는 남쪽으로 후퇴하고 생계에도 변화를 보이게 되었다.
이 시점을 전후하여 각지역은 지역색이 두드려져 지역문화권이 형성되었고, 水田도 등장하였다. 그 중심에는 지역공동체의 리더인 首長이祭儀를 주관하면서 성장하기 시작했고, 조상신의 숭배, 威信財의 제작,거대무덤인 區劃墓의 조영, 초대형의 지상식건물의 축조 등이 이루어졌다. 이러한 형태의 수장사회는 내륙평야권의 전작 중심의 농경사회이고,청동기시대 후기의 주축이 되는 松菊里文化의 면모라고 할 수 있다.
이에 반하여, 한반도에서 가장 온난한 지역인 호남내륙권의 지석묘밀집지역에서는 산지를 배경으로 수렵채집과 화전 중심의 농경사회로서전기의 생계양식이 그대로 전승되었다. 또 포항-경주-울산의 東南海岸圈에서는 산지와 바다에 모두 인접한 지리적 환경 속에서 수렵과 어로활동이 중시된 농경사회로서 역시 전기의 생계양식을 답습한 듯하다. 이지역의 묘제는 주거지를 이용한 家屋墓와 방형 또는 원형의 周溝를 돌린周溝式區劃墓가 특징이다.

영어초록

The purpose of this research paper is to clarify burial grounds were determined by subsistence on the Korean Peninsula in the Bronze Age. As a whole, subsistence are influenced by climatic environments and have something close to do with the position of settlement.
In early the Bronze Age, even more moderate climate was swept all around the South-Korean Peninsula, compared with the contemporary age. Therefore, Evergreen Broad-leaved Forest was extended to Jungbu regions, and the population group which maintained their livelihood against the background of mountainous regions would live on especially, hunting and fishing and slash-and-burn, while the dwelling group populated in a flood plain, would live on especially, field crop. In late Bronze Age, Evergreen Broad-leaved Forest was declined to southern regions and during this age, livelihood suffered from changes.
Before and after the period, each region had so stark and unique local characteristic that the local cultural sphere and paddy field were formed and came into being. In the central regions, a local community leader and head began to exercise their power, leading and holding ancestral rites. The worship of ancestral divinity and the design of deity and the construction of grand guhoekmyo burial ground and the first ground building were dominated in this period. This head-centered society became the mainstream of field crop-focused agricultural community of inland plain regions, and at the same time, this society took the form of Songgukri Culture which became the major axis of the late Bronze Age. Meanwhile, regions around dolmen burial ground located in Honam inland regions, well-known as the most moderate climate regions on the Korean Peninsula handed down the subsistence where were pursued during early the Bronze Age when focused on hunting and slash-and-burn-based agricultural cultivation against mountainous regions.
In Pohang-Gyeongju-Ulsan regions, the hunting and fishing-centered agricultural community in geographical environments surrounding mountains and seas seems to keep subsistence which were pursued during early the Bronze Age. This region has a characteristic to hold memorial services before the grave, with the use of residential areas-patterned house burial ground and square or circle-shaped log frame-styled guhoekmyo burial ground.
