百濟 熊津王都 내 橫穴式石室墓의 造營傳統과 變遷 (The Transition and Structural Change of the Stone-chamber Tombs of Woongjin Capital of Baekje)

초록

본고는 웅진왕도 내에서 조사된 백제 횡혈식석실묘의 분포특징과 구조변화를 살펴, 왕실무덤의 조영전통과 지배집단의 문화성격을 파악하고자 하였다. 웅진왕도에서 조사된 백제의 橫穴式石室墓는 기술적으로 완성된 구조를 보이고 있는데, 이는 한성도읍기 백제 중앙 묘제와의 연속선상에서 검토될 수 있다. 따라서 웅진천도 이후 왕도 내에 조영된 고분의 전통과 변천상은, 웅진천도 당시 백제 중앙의 문화적 기반을 파악하는데 의미 있는 자료를 제공할 수 있을 것으로 판단된다.
웅진기 백제왕도 내 고분은 漢城의 가락동과 감일동고분군에서 조사된 것과 같이 석실묘를 기본 구조로 하는 횡혈식석실묘가 조영되며, 고분의 유형별로 왕도 내에서 권역을 달리하여 분포하는 모습도 한성과 동일하다. 웅진천도 초기 송산리고분군 일대의 왕족묘역에서는 가락동유형의 방형계통 석실묘가 분포하고 웅진왕도 남-동쪽외곽 귀족묘역에는 감일동유형의 세장방형계통 석실묘가 분포하는 이원적인 분포상을 보인다. 즉 웅진천도초기의 고분문화는 한성양식에 기반하고 있다. 이후 백제 25대 무령왕(재위 501~523)의 무덤이 중국 남조의 전실묘 형태로 조영되면서, 석실묘의 천장구조가 穹窿狀에서 터널식(아치식)으로 변화하는 모습을 보인다. 그리고 무령왕릉 이후 왕족과 귀족의 석실묘는 평면구조나 형식차이가 아니라, 묘실의 규모와 묘실 바닥 내 棺臺의 존재여부를 기초로 위계가 구분된다.
웅진기 백제 고분문화의 전개에서 보이는 특징은 한성도읍기의 묘제에 기반하는 전통의 지속성과 무령왕릉의 塼築墓와 같이 새로운 형식의 묘제를 수용하는 문화적 개방성을 살필 수 있다. 그리고 웅진기 이후 중앙의 고분문화가 지방사회까지 반영되는 것으로 보아, 국가 통치체제의 강화과정에서 지방사회 고분문화의 一元化가 함께 이루어졌음을 알 수 있다.

In this ancient city, the distribution characteristics and structural changes of the Woongjin Baekje royal tomb were examined on the basis of the Baekje tomb data investigated inside the Woongjin Kingdom, and the cultural characteristics of the royal tomb type and the ruling group were to be identified. Since the tomb of stone-chamber tombs of Baekje, which was investigated in the Woongjin Kingdom, shows a technically complete structure, there is no doubt that it was used as a mausoleum in the center of Baekje from the Hanseong-period. Therefore, it is believed that the analysis of the ancient tomb data built within the royal capital after Woongjin’s death could provide meaningful data to identify the cultural base of the center of Baekje.
As the tomb of King, a royal tomb of Woongjin Baekje was constructed with Hanseong style, the structure of stone-chamber tombs is also seen changing from royal palace to tunnel-style (arch-style) with the introduction of the royal tomb of King-Muryeong(武寧王) in Chinese southern dynasty(南朝). Embracing a new type of bric-tombs, such as the acceptance of the Royal Tomb of King-Muryeong, is an example of Baekje’s open cultural expropriation. Furthermore, as such changes in tombs are connected to local communities, changes in the ancient tombs culture of local society can be reviewed together in the course of strengthening the national governance system after the Woongjin. This change had been since Woongjin-period. It is also connected to Sabi-period, and continues until the stone-chamber tombs using high-temperature or horizontal stone materials of the Sabi- period cross-sectional hexagonal is contrasted. In other words, the stone- chamber tombs in the early days of Woongjin can examine the dual structure of royal tombs and aristocratic tombs and the differentiation of the tomb styles. After the introduction of the Royal Tomb of King-Muryeong, however, the stone-chamber tomb of the royal family and the nobility can be reviewed based on the difference of size and the existence of a prop coffin in the tomb floor.
