예비교사의 장애인에 대한 태도가 다문화 수용성에 미치는 영향: 통합교육, 관련교과목수강 경험의 조절효과 (Prospective Teachers' Attitudes toward People with Disabilities on Multi-Cultural Acceptance: Moderating Effects of Experience of Inclusive Education and Related Courses)

초록

본 연구의 목적은 대학교에 재학 중인 예비교사들을대상으로 장애인에 대한 태도가 다문화 수용성에 미치는영향을 알아보고, 두 변인 간의 관계에 통합교육 경험과관련 교과목 수강경험이 미치는 조절효과에 대해 알아보는 것에 있다. 이를 위하여 서울･경기 소재 대학의 사범대, 교직이수과정 재학 중인 307명의 예비교사를 대상으로설문을 실시하고, SPSS 21.0을 사용하여 상관분석, 단계적 회귀분석, 조절회귀분석을 수행하였다. 분석 결과, 예비교사의 장애인에 대한 태도와 다문화 수용성은 .6이상의(p<.001) 상관성을 가지는 것으로 나타나 장애인에 대한 태도가 긍정적일수록 다문화 수용수준도 높은 것으로파악되었다. 둘째, 예비교사의 장애인에 대한 태도가 다문화 수용성에 미치는 영향을 알아본 결과, 장애인에 대한태도 하위 변인 가운데 행동 오해 변인이 가장 높은 영향력을 가지는 것으로 나타났으며, 손상된 성격 고정관념과낙관주의･인권이 순차적으로 영향력을 가지는 것으로 나타났다. 셋째, 예비교사의 장애인에 대한 태도가 다문화수용성에 미치는 영향에 조절효과를 가지는 변인은 다문화 관련 통합교육과 교과목수강경험인 것으로 분석되었다. 본 연구는 장애인에 대한 태도와 다문화 수용성이 근본적으로 타(他)문화적인 관점에서 배제, 부정, 차별적인관념을 가지고 있는가를 측정하는 공통된 개념을 가지고있다고 보고, 예비교사의 장애인에 대한 태도가 긍정적일수록 다문화 수용성이 높아지며, 예비교사가 다문화 관련통합교육 경험이나 교과목 수강 경험이 있을 때 다문화수용성에 미치는 영향이 더욱 강력해질 수 있다는 결론을도출하였다. 본 연구의 결과는 예비교사의 장애인권 및다문화 감수성 중진의 필요성을 시사하고, 대학에서의 전문적이고 의도적인 교육의 중요성을 시사한다.

영어초록

The purpose of this study was to investigate the effect of pre-service pre-school teachers attitudestoward people with disabilities and toward multi-cultural acceptance, and to investigate the moderating effect of theexperience of inclusive education and the experience of taking related courses on the relationship between the twovariables. To accomplish the research purposes two questionnaires were conducted for 307 pre-school teachersenrolled in the teacher training course at the universities in Seoul and Gyeonggi, with a correlation analysis, stepwiseregression analysis, and controlled regression analysis performed using SPSS 21.0. Results found that the attitudetoward people with disabilities and the multi-cultural acceptance of pre-service teachers had a correlation of more than .6 (p<.001), and the more positive the attitude toward people with disabilities, the higher the level ofmulti-cultural acceptance. Second, as a result of examining the effect of pre-service teachers' attitudes toward thedisabled on multi-cultural acceptance, among the sub-variables of attitude toward people with disabilities, thebehavioral misunderstanding variable was found to have the highest influence, and then, it was found that theimpaired personality stereotypes and optimism and human rights have sequential influence. Third, it was analyzed thatthe variable having a moderating effect on the influence of pre-service teachers' attitudes toward people withdisabilities on multi-cultural acceptance was the experience of inclusive education and taking courses related tomulti-cultural. This study has shown that the attitude toward people with disabilities and multi-cultural acceptabilityhave a common concept to measure whether the attitude toward people with disabilities and multi-culturalacceptability fundamentally has the notion of exclusion, denial, and discrimination from the perspective of othercultures. In conclusion, the multi-cultural acceptance increased, and that the effect on multi-cultural acceptance couldbe stronger when pre- teachers take the inclusive education and courses related with multi-cultural. The results of thisstudy suggest the necessity of enhancing the disability rights and multi-cultural sensibilities of pre-teachers, and theimportance of professional and intentional education in college.
