모-자 활동중심의 집단미술치료가 아동의 학교 부적응 행동에 미치는 효과 (Effect of Mother-Children Group Art Therapy on the Children’s School Maladjustment Behavior)

초록

본 연구의 목적은 모-자 활동중심의 집단미술치료가 아동의 학교부적응 행동에 미치는 효과를 알아보는데 있다. 연구대상은 부산시에 소재하는 M초등학교 1학년 아동 7명과 그 어머니 7명, 전체 14명으로, 모-자 활동중심의 집단미술치료 프로그램 적용은 2009년 5월 1일부터 7월 20일까지 매주 2회로 하고 한회기당 60~80분, 총 20회기로 진행하였다. 본 연구의 측정도구는 ‘학교부적응 행동평가’(최정애, 2006)를 재구성하여 45개 항목으로 관찰․평가하였으며 학습평가(국어 수학)는 교육과정에 따른 진단 도구를 사용하였다. 자료 분석은 윌콕슨 부호 순위 검정을 실시하여 효과검증을 하였고, 회기별 변화과정을 기술적으로 제시하였다. 연구결과를 바탕으로 얻은 결론은 다음과 같다. 첫째, 모-자 활동중심의 집단미술치료는 아동의 학교부적응 행동 감소로 긍정적인 효과가 있는 것으로 나타났다. 둘째, 모-자 활동중심의 집단미술치료가 성취동기 중 국어과 학력에서 긍정적인 효과가 있는 것으로 나타났다. 셋째, 집단미술치료과정에 따른 모-자 반응 및 태도에서 어머니가 아동의 강점을 발견하는 횟수가 늘어나고 지지와 격려 및 수용하는 분위기가 조성되면서 점차 모-자의 갈등이 해소되어갔고 아동의 움직임 또한 긍정적인 태도로 변화해 감을 관찰할 수 있었다.

영어초록

The purpose of this is testing the effect of mother-children group art therapy on the children’s school maladjustment behavior. The research subjects are seven (the number of child and mother, n=7) first year elementary students and their mothers. Every week, two times mother-children group art therapy intervention has been made around 60~80 minutes with total 20 interventions during a semester. The research instruments of this study are the revised 45 items for the school maladjustment from school maladjustment evaluation(choi, jeong ae 2006), and Korean and Mathematics exam score for scholastic motivation according to the school curriculum. The mother-children activity centered group art therapy program has been reconstructed for improving the interaction between mother and children and their practical accessibility to the program. The research has been conducted from the first of 2009 May to 20th of July (about three months) with around 60~80 minutes with total 20 interventions during the time period. The research result has been analyzed with Wilcockson’s nonparametric test for testing the different between pre (baseline) and post (immediately after interventions) comparison, and the post and after (two month after interventions) comparison. The results of this study showed the mother-children group art therapy is effective on the children’s school maladjustment behavior (i.e., reduce such behavior) not only for the pre and post comparison, but also for the post and after comparison. For the effect on scholastic motivation, the therapy intervention improved (i.e., the post exam score is greater than the pre exam score) both cognitive achievement in terms of Korean exam scores, and the effects also been retained during two months (i.e., the after exam score is not decreased from the post exam score). However, due to the small subject number (n=7), readers should carry caution on the result of statistical significance for this study, and it is needed securing much lager subject size (e.g., greater than 30) for the future work.
