초록

이 글은 韓⋅中 한의학자가 저술한 醫易學 문헌에서 『주역』에 담긴 ‘한의학의 이치’와 ‘한의학의 맹아’라고 주장된 내용과 의미를 고찰한 논문이다. 의역학은 역학과 한의학이 융복합된 의학 분야이다. 중심 문헌은 한국 윤창열(尹暢烈)의 『醫易學』과 중국 이준천(李浚川)·소한명(蕭漢明)의 『醫易會通精義』(번역서 『醫易學 思想』)이다. 고찰한 내용은 첫째, 의역학의 사상적 토대인 ‘醫易同原’과 ‘儒醫’의 의미. 둘째, 윤창열이 『주역』 39괘에 담겼다고 주장한 ‘한의학의 이치’ 셋째, 이준천·소한명이 『역경』 5괘에 담겼다고 주장한 ‘한의학의 맹아’이다. 이로써 한의학의 이치와 맹아와 관련된 『주역』에 관한 두 문헌의 의역학적 인식을 살펴보았다.
결과적으로 의역학은 역학과 의학의 근원이 동일하다는 ‘醫易同原’을 주장했고, 儒醫 개념을 통해 유학과 더욱 밀접하게 확장되었다. 또한 역학의 사상과 이론은 의학이론의 정립에 적극 활용되었다. 윤창열의 『의역학』에서는 한의학의 이치로서 『주역』에 포괄된 천인 사상과 인간의 생리현상, 해부학적 지식 및 시체, 죽음, 질병, 예방의학, 그리고 양생법, 임신, 출산, 鍼灸 등을 고찰하였다. 그 주장을 근거로 필자가 상세한 내용을 고찰해 보았다. 이준천·소한명의 『의역회통정의』에서는 훈고와 문헌 고증을 토대로 『역경』 剝卦, 豫卦, 萃卦, 艮卦, 咸卦의 5괘를 의학적으로 해석하고, 여기에 病因, 診斷治療, 心理, 養生, 鍼石術의 맹아가 포함되었다고 주장하였다.
종합적으로 두 문헌을 통해 살펴본 한의학의 이치와 한의학의 맹아가 담긴 괘의 수와 내용에는 많은 차이점이 있다. 괘는 3괘만이 일치할 뿐이고, 그 내용도 역시 다르다. 이러한 차이점은 윤창열이 『주역』에 포함된 역철학적 원리와 해부학적 지식 및 생리, 질병, 정신의 조화 등 모든 관련 내용을 찾은 반면, 이준천·소한명은 고대 한의학에서의 훈고를 근거로 『역경』을 재해석해 병인, 진단치료, 심리, 양생, 침석술의 맹아를 발굴했기 때문이다. 두 의역학 문헌에서 주장된 『주역』에 포함된 한의학의 이치와 맹아가 많은 차이점이 있지만 모두 ‘醫易同原’이라는 의역학적 관점의 『주역』 연구라는 의의와 공통점이 있다. 그렇더라도 두 문헌에서 주장된 많은 이론적 차이점과 확장된 이해는 수용되기 어려운 점도 있기 때문에 앞으로 한의학과 역학의 전문가로 이루어진 융복합 연구를 활성화하여 보다 보편성을 지닌 의역학 이론 연구로 보완되면 좋을 것으로 생각한다.

영어초록

In this article, I reviewed the ‘the logic of Oriental medicine’ and ‘the sprout of Oriental medicine’ contained in 『Zhouyi(周易)』 revealed by a scholar who studies the study of medicine-Yi Jing(醫易學) in Korea and China. The study focused on Korean China medicine scholar Yun Chang-yeol's 『The study of medicine-Yi Jing』 as Korean data, and Li Jun-chuan(李浚川) and Xiao Han-ming(蕭漢明)’s 『The essence of medicine and Yi Xue Correlation(醫易會通精義)』(Translation name is 『The thought of the study of medicine-Yi Jing(醫易學 思想)』) as Chinese data. Both books Both books are literature that studied ‘the study of medicine-Yi Jing’, also ‘the study of medicine-Yi Jing’ and Yi Xue(易學) and Oriental medicine are discussed as fusion and compound theories. Specific considerations include, first, the concept of ‘Medicine and Changes sharing the same origin(醫易同原)’ and ‘Confucian doctor(儒醫) and its meaning in ‘the study of Medicine-Yi Jing’, second, 'the logic of Oriental medicine' and its content argued by Yun Chang-yeol through 39 hexagrams of 『Zhouyi』, third, ‘the sprout of Oriental medicine’ and its content argued by Li Jun-chuan and Xiao Han-ming through 5 hexagrams of 『Zhouyi』. In addition, from the perspective of a Scholar of Oriental medicine, the contents of understanding 『the book of changes』 as the study of medicine-Yi Jing were compared and considered.
The characteristics of the study of medicine-Yi Jingare the ‘'the logic of Oriental medicine’, the human body, the physiological phenomena of humans, anatomical knowledge, corpses, deaths, diseases, preventive medicine, curing methods, pregnancy and childbirth, acupunction and moxibustion(灸鍼) through 『Zhouyi』. In 『The essence of medicine and Yi Xue Correlation』, they argued that the letters ralated to in the formation process of 『Yijing』 through Exgesis and textual research. Among the five hexagram of 『Yijing』, namely, hexagram Bo(剝卦) hexagram Yu(豫卦) hexagram Cui(萃卦) hexagram Gun(艮卦) hexagram xian(咸卦) there are included pathogeny, diagnostic treatment, Psychology, curing, the sprout of Needle-stone technique.
However, the meanings of 'the logic of Oriental medicine' and 'the spout of Oriental medicine' are different from each other in the two books above, also there are also many differences in the number and content of the quoted 『Yijing』 hexagram. Because, Yun Chang-yeol examined the principles of Yi Xue included in Oriental medicine and the contents of the body's anatomical knowledge and the harmony of physiology, disease, and mind, On the other hand, Lee Jun-cheon and Xiao Han-ming mainly considered the contents related to pathogeny, diagnostic treatment, psychology, curring, and the sprout of needlestone techniques in ancient Oriental medicine.
Overall, both literature have an academic meaning that considered the study of the principles of “Medicine and Changes sharing the same origin(醫易同原)” by studying the logic of Oriental medicine and the sprout of Oriental medicine in 『Zhouyi』. and it is considered a good example of fusion and compound research of philosophy and Oriental medicine. However, from a professional and balanced perspective, it is hoped that the fusion and compound research of Oriental medicine and Yi xue will proceed in the future, and the theoretical research and research results related to ‘the study of medicine-Yi Jing’ will be more and the discourse will be activated.
