비실시간 비대면 자기 성찰 글쓰기 강의 연구 — 경희대학교 “성찰과 표현” 강의를 중심으로 (A Study of Non-real-time Non-face-to-face Lectures on Self-reflection Writing — Focusing on Kyunghee University’s “Reflection and Expression” lecture)

초록

이 연구는 팬데믹으로 인해 대면 수업이 불가능해지면서 새롭게 설계하여 진행한 비실시간 비대면 자기 성찰 글쓰기 강의를 공유하여 자기 성찰글쓰기 교육 방법의 개발과 발전에 기여하고자 한다. 이 연구의 대상인2020년 2학기와 2021년 1학기의 경희대학교 신입생 대상 글쓰기 교과인“성찰과 표현”은 온라인 강의실 내의 게시글, 강의 영상, 피드백을 통한 비실시간 비대면 강의로 진행되었다. 대면 강의가 불가능한 상황에서 비실시간 비대면 강의는 실시간 비대면 강의보다 학습자가 주도적으로 학습할 수 있으며, 자기 성찰을 위한 시간과 공간을 보다 자유롭게 확보할 수 있고 자기 성찰 글쓰기의 특성상 발생하게 되는 사생활 공개에 대한 부담이 최소화될 수 있다. 교수자가 학습자에게 일대일로 대응하는 빈도를 높이면 학습자가 교수자에 대한 실재감을 느낄 수 있고 글쓰기 능력과 경험의 차이로 발생하는 학습자의 개별적인 문제를 해결할 수 있다.
“성찰과 표현”에서는 자기 성찰 글쓰기를 통해 자기 발견 및 성장과 글쓰기 실력의 향상이라는 두 가지 목표에 도달하기 위해 자기 성찰을 주제로한 글쓰기를 단계적으로 수행하도록 했다. 자기 성찰의 과정에서 자기 정체성 구성과 발전은 물론이고 타자와의 소통과 공감의 중요성에 대한 인식을할 수 있도록 했다. 특히 팬데믹에서 이러한 과정이 주는 의미는 더욱 소중했다. 자기를 성찰하기 위한 주제에 대한 생각들을 문장 쓰기, 단락 쓰기, 완성된 글 한 편 쓰기 순으로 점진적으로 분량을 늘려가면서 작성하게 했다.
글쓰기 절차인 계획하기, 초고 쓰기, 수정하기의 과정도 각각 수행하면서 한편의 글을 완성하는 경험을 하도록 했다. 강의 후반에는 혼자 한 편의 글을완성해 보면서 강의를 마무리했다. 동료 학습자의 글에 댓글 달기를 유도하여 동료 학습자들과 소통하고 공감할 수 있게 했다. 강의 평가를 통해 학습자들의 호응을 확인할 수 있었기에 대면 수업이 재개되어도 이 강의의 장점이 교육방법에 반영되어야 할 것이다.

영어초록

This study aims to contribute to the development and development of self-reflection writing education methods by sharing cases of non-realtime non-face-to-face lectures on self-reflection writing that were newly designed and conducted as face-to-face classes became impossible due to Pandemic. Reflection and Expression, a writing curriculum for new students at Kyunghee University in the second semester of 2020 and the first semester of 2021, which is the subject of this study, was conducted as a non-real-time non-face-to-face lecture through posts, lecture videos, and feedback in the online classroom. In a situation where face-to-face lectures are impossible, non-real-time non-face-to-face lectures can be taught more proactively by learners than real-time non-face-to-face lectures, free time and space for self-reflection, and minimize the burden of privacy disclosure caused by the nature of self-reflection writing. If the instructor increases the frequency of responding one-on-one to the learner, the learner can feel the presence of the instructor and solve the learner’s individual problems caused by differences in writing ability and experience.
In “Reflection and Expression,” self-reflection writing was carried out step by step to reach the two goals of self-discovery, growth, and improvement of writing skills through self-reflection writing. In the process of self-reflection, it was possible to recognize the importance of communication and empathy with others as well as the composition and development of self-identity. In particular, the meaning of this process in the pandemic was even more precious. Thoughts on topics to reflect on themselves were gradually increased in the order of writing sentences, paragraphs, and writing a completed article. The process of planning, ultra-high writing, and modifying, which are writing procedures, was also carried out, respectively, allowing them to experience completing a piece of writing. In the second half of the lecture, I finished the lecture by completing one article by myself. It encouraged fellow learners to comment on their writings so that they could communicate and empathize with fellow learners. Since it was possible to confirm the responses of learners through lecture evaluation, the advantages of this lecture should be reflected in the educational method even if face-to-face classes resume.
