초록

Rural houses has been recognized as a main factors for rural landscape. The federal government has
been implemented several policies attempting to improve living quality at rural area, but those were
mostly fund supports to reconstruct or repair residents' houses. Therefore, this study focused on rural
houses, especially houses at Eup․Myun region and intended to analyze whether minimum housing
standard is appropriate at Eup․Myun region or not, as a step to rural house counterplan of government.
For this purpose, this study surveyed 189 houses at 16 villages of Yangpyeong-gun and Gapyeong-gun
in Kyeonggi province. Based on the results of this study, some parts of minimum housing standard in
Korea is not appropriate at Eup․Myun region, especially standard household composition is different
between city and Eup․Myun region. In addition, residents think that outdoor space is important as well
as indoor, and the house facilities of agricultural and non-agricultural group are different. The results of
this study could be used basic guideline for rural house investigation of Eup․Myun region.
