통합적 국어교육의 내용 마련을 위한 예비 교사의 언어 활동 인식 분석 - 듣기․말하기, 읽기, 쓰기에 대한 은유 분석을 중심으로 (Analysis of Pre-teachers’ Perceptions of Language Activities for Contents of Integrated Korean Language Education - Focusing on the Metaphor Analysis of Listening/Speaking, Reading and Writing)

초록

본 연구는 예비 교사들의 듣기․말하기, 읽기, 쓰기 언어 활동에 대한 은유 분석을 통해 국어과의 영역 통합적 성격을 밝히고 이를 통해 통합적 국어교육의 내용 마련을 위한 초석을 다지는 것을 목적으로 한다. 이를 위해 서울과 경기도에 소재한 사범대학 3-4학년 49명, 교육대학교 2학년 93명 총 142명의 예비 교사를 연구 참여자로 선정하여 총 397개의 은유문, 이유문, 경험문을 수집하였으며, 그중 둘 혹은 셋의 언어 활동이 동일하거나 유사한 은유문 120개를 추출하여 은유 분석을 실시하였다.
분석 결과, 예비 교사들의 세 언어 활동에 대한 공통된 인식은 ‘기반, 근본, 정제, 구성, 소통, 맥락, 노력과 발전, 성찰’로 나타났다. 두 언어 활동에 대한 공통된 인식을 살펴보면, 듣기․말하기와 읽기에서는 ‘기초 능력, 기초 학습 역량, 핏루 능력, 상대 고려, 타자 경험, 유익함’이었고, 듣기․말하기와 쓰기는 ‘준비, 과정, 표현’이었다. 읽기와 쓰기에서는 ‘정확성, 해석, 상상력, 구조, 기록’으로 분석되었다. 이들을 바탕으로 통합적 국어교육의 내용 요소나 핵심 아이디어 등으로 구현될 수 있는 교육 내용으로 정련화하여 제시하였다.
이상의 귀납적 명제들은 물론, 완전히 새로운 것이라 보기는 어렵지만 역대 및 현행 개정 교육과정에서 종합되지 못했던 지식, 기능, 태도의 영역 통합적 특성들을 드러내며, 그동안 국어교육계에서 주로 구호와 당위성으로 선언되어 왔던 통합적 국어교육의 가능성을 더 구체적으로 보여준다는 데 의의가 있다.

영어초록

This study aims to reveal the integrative nature of the Korean language department through a metaphorical analysis of the language activities of listening, speaking, reading, and writing of prospective teachers. As elective subjects were newly established in the 2007 revised curriculum, a full-fledged discussion on integration between sub-fields of the Korean language department began. In the 2022 revised curriculum, as well, convergence elective courses were newly established, and the demand for integrated Korean language education continues. This study is an exploratory study seeking grounds for integrated Korean language education from the perception of listening, speaking, reading, and writing.
To this end, a total of 142 college students, 49 third- and fourth-year students at the College of Education and 93 second-year students at the University of Education, located in Seoul and Gyeonggi-do, were selected as research participants and a total of 397 metaphors were investigated, and three areas and two areas were the same. Metaphor analysis was conducted by extracting 134 similar or similar metaphors.
As a result of the analysis, the common perception of the three language activities of pre-service teachers was 'tool, fundamental, refinement, composition, communication, context, effort and development, and reflection’. Looking at the common perception of the two language activities, in listening/speaking and reading, ‘basic ability, basic learning ability, consideration of others, experience of others, and usefulness’ were found, and the common metaphorical implications of listening/speaking and writing were ‘preparation, process, expression’. In reading and writing, ‘accuracy, interpretation, imagination, structure, and record’ were analyzed.
Although it is difficult to see the above inductive propositions as completely new, they reveal the integrated characteristics of the areas of knowledge, skills, and attitudes that have not been synthesized in previous and current revised curricula. It is meaningful in that it shows the possibility more concretely.
