개인사업자의 종합소득세 신고소득률과 회계 계정과목과의 관계：비용항목을 중심으로 (Study on the Relationship of Taxable Income Ratio with Financial Accounts：Focusing on Expense Accounts)

초록

[연구목적]본 연구의 목적은 개인사업자의 종합소득세 신고소득률에 영향을 미치는 회계적 요인을 분석하는 것이다.
[연구방법]이를 위하여 개인사업자의 종합소득세 신고자료를 수집하여 신고소득률과 표준손익계산서의 회계 계정과목과의 관계를 비용항목 중심으로 분석하였다.
[연구결과]첫째, 주요경비(매입비용, 인건비, 임차료)는 신고소득률과 유의한 음(－)의 관계를 보여, 주요경비가 높을수록 신고소득률이 낮은 경향이 있는 것으로 나타났다. 둘째, 복리후생비, 지급수수료, 기타판매비와관리비, 기타비용 또한 신고소득률과 유의한 음(－)의 관계가 나타났다. 이는 해당 계정의 범위의 모호성과 계정 대체 가능성에 따른 것으로 추정된다. 셋째, 소모품비는 신고소득률과 유의한 양(＋)의 관계가 부분적으로 확인되었는데, 이는 해당 계정이 가시성 있는 물품거래와 관련되고, 비교적 계정과목의 범위가 명확하기 때문인 것으로 추정된다.
[연구의 시사점]본 연구는 자료수집이 어려운 개인사업자의 소득자료를 이용하여 신고소득률과 재무제표상의 비용 계정과목 간의 관계를 분석하였다는 점에서 선행연구와 차별성이 있다. 또한, 과세관청이 사후검증 및 세무조사 시 조세회피와 연관성이 높은 비용 계정과목의 타당성을 검토해야 한다는 시사점을 제공한다.

영어초록

[Purpose]The purpose of this study is to analyze the accounting factors that affect the income rate of individual business owners reported on general income tax.
[Methodology]In this study, in order to understand the financial factors affecting the income reporting of individual business owners, the relationship between the reported income rate and the accounting account subjects of the standard income statement prepared by collecting individual business entity’s comprehensive income tax report data is demonstrated centering on cost items. Analyzed.
[Findings]The results of the study are as follows. First, the major expenses (purchase cost, labor cost, rental fee) showed a significant negative (－) relationship with the reported income rate, and the higher the major expense, the lower the reported income rate. Second, welfare expenses, payment fees, other selling and administrative expenses, and other expenses showed a significant negative (－) relationship with the reported income rate, and it was found that the higher the account subject amount, the lower the reported income rate. This is presumed to be due to the ambiguity of the scope of the account and the possibility of account substitution. Third, the relationship between the reported income rate and the significant positive (＋) of the expenditure cost was partially confirmed, which is estimated to be due to the fact that the account is related to the product transaction with visibility and the scope of the account subject is relatively clear.
[Implications]This study differs from previous studies in that it analyzes the relationship between the reported income rate and the expense account subjects in the financial statements by using the income data of individual business owners who are difficult to collect data. In addition, it has a contributing point that it provides an implication that it should intensively review the cost validity of account subjects that are highly related to tax avoidance as one of the indicators for analyzing the integrity of reported data during post verification and tax investigation.
