프레이리와 랑시에르의 해방교육론 비교 (A comparison Freire and Ranciére on the emancipation education)

초록

본 연구는 프레이리와 랑시에르의 해방교육론을 비교 분석한 연구로서, 연구 결과는 다음과 같다. 두 교육론은 교육활동은 가치중립적일 수 없다, 설명식 교육은 인간의 본질적 특성을 거스르는 교육 방식으로서, 학생을 정신적 피지배자로 만드는 결과를 초래함과 동시에 왜곡된 사회의 형성 및 유지의 수단이 되는 교육방식이다, 해방은 계급이 아닌 개개인의 인간 본질 회복 차원의 일이며, 따라서 해방은 물리적 힘이 아닌 교육의 힘을 통하여 이루어야 한다, 해방교육의 구체적 전개양식을 효과가 검증된 실제적 교육활동에서 추출하였다는 점에서 동일하다. 이에 비해 ‘문제제기식 교육’이라 불리는 프레이리의 해방교육의 전개양식은 학생이 일상적으로 접하는 문제에 대한 교사와 학생의 대화를 중심으로 전개되는데 비하여, ‘무지한 교사에 의한 교육’이라 할 수 있는 랑시에르의 해방교육은 학생과 교재의 상호관계를 중심으로 진행된다, 프레이리 교육에서의 교사와 학생은 그 경계가 사라지고, 공동연구자가 되기도 하지만, 랑시에르 교육에서 교사와 학생의 지위는 명확하게 나누어지며 교사의 권위는 유지된다, 프레이리 교육은 억압이 없는 사회의 실현을 위한 사회변혁에 비중을 두는 반면, 랑시에르 교육은 개인의 지적 자유의 확대에 비중을 둔다는 점에서 두 교육론은 차이가 난다.

영어초록

A purposes of this study is to comparatively analysis Freire's emancipation education theory and Ranciére's one. The results of study are as follows.
1. the common views which two theories share First, Educational activities are value laden because they are involved with political activities.
Second, Teacher's explanation centered teaching, named ‘banking concept of education' or ‘making fool education' is a bad teaching which is against human nature, and makes student a fool and the oppressed. It cause community to irrational and unequal one.
Third, emancipation is not a work on social class but a job on recovering the human nature, so the emancipation have to be done by education.
Forth, the practical strategies of emancipation education that two emancipation education theorists suggest were based on the educational experiences and the educational achievements 2. the different views that two theories have, and what the differences came from are as follows.
First, Freire's emancipation education, called 'problem posing education', focuses on the dialogue between teacher and students on the ordinary living with that the students daily face, whereas Ranciére's emancipation education, called ignorant teacher's education, focused a on interaction student and their text books.
Second, In Freire's emancipation education, the separation between teacher and student come to vanishes, and teacher and student become co-worker, whereas in Ranciére's emancipation education, separation between teacher and student is sticked, authority of teacher is kept on.
Third, Freire's education give weight to make the society without oppression, whereas Ranciére's education give weight to expend personal intellectual freedom.
Forth, The differences between Freire's education and Ranciére'one come from differences of time and place that two scholars live in and experience, and differences of academic atmosphere that they were exposed.
