우리나라 사물인터넷 산업의 경쟁력 분석과 시사점 (Competitiveness Analysis and Implications of IoT Industry in Korea)

초록

연구목적: 본 연구는 우리나라 사물인터넷의 경쟁력을 평가할 수 있는 종합적 평가모델을 구축하고 평가모델을 통해 사물인터넷의 경쟁력을 평가함으로써 향후 사물인터넷 산업의 전략적 방향을 수립하고 사물인터넷 산업이 발전하는데 일조하고자 하였다.
논문구성/논리: 제1장 서론에서는 연구의 목적과 배경을 기술하였고 제2장의 이론적 배경에서는 4차 산업혁명과 사물인터넷의 특징에 대해 고찰하였다. 제3장에서는 국가경쟁력 평가모델을 고찰하였고 이에 기초하여 AHP 분석을 위한 연구모델을 개발하였다. 제4장에서 AHP 분석을 실시하여 사물인터넷 산업의 중요도를 평가하고 우선순위를 설정하였다. 제5장의 결론에서는 주요 연구내용을 요약하였고 연구의 시사점이 논의되었다.
결과: AHP 분석결과, 상위요인의 중요도에서는 ICT 관련 및 지원산업의 중요도가 가장 높은 것으로 나타나 사물인터넷 산업과 ICT 타 산업간 협력을 통한 경쟁력 강화가 매우 중요함을 확인하였다. 그 밖에 하위요인인 생산요건 중요도에서는 연구개발(R&D)이, 수요조건의 중요도에서는 소비자 요인이, 관련 및 지원 산업에서는 ICT 산업의 기술경쟁력이 그리고 기업의 전략, 구조 및 경쟁양상에서는 경영성과 요인의 중요도가 타 요인의 중요도 보다 높은 것으로 조사되었다.
아울러, 상위요인과 하위요인의 가중치를 종합하여 사물인터넷 산업의 국가 경쟁력 결정요인의 중요도를 분석한 결과, ICT 산업의 기술경쟁력, 소비자, 내수시장 요인이 사물인터넷 산업의 경쟁력 제고를 위해 가장 중요도가 높은 3대 요인으로 도출되었다.
독창성/가치: 본 연구는 다이아몬드 모형을 응용하여 사물인터넷 산업의 중요도를 평가할 수 있는 실증모델을 구축하고 AHP 분석을 통해 우리나라 사물인터넷 산업의 경쟁력을 위해 우선적으로 자원을 투입해야 하는 중요한 요인들을 도출하고 있다는 점에서 연구의 독창성이 인정된다.

영어초록

Purpose: The purpose of this study is to establish a comprehensive evaluation model to evaluate the competitiveness of the Internet of Things (IoT) industry in Korea and to assess the competitiveness of the IoT industry based on the evaluation model.
Composition/Logic: Chapter 1 introduces the purpose and background of the study. In the theoretical background of Chapter 2, we examine the characteristics of the 4th Industrial Revolution and the Internet of things. In Chapter 3, we reviewed the national competitiveness evaluation model and developed a research model for AHP analysis. In Chapter 4, AHP analysis was applied to evaluate the importance of the IoT industry and set priorities. The conclusions of Chapter 5 are summarized and the implications of the research are discussed.
Findings: From AHP analysis, we was able to confirm that ICT related and support industries factor is the most important factor in terms of importance of higher level factors, so it is crucial to strengthen competitiveness through cooperation between IoT industries and ICT industries. In the lower level of each factor, we could find that R&D factor is a key factor in production requirements importance, consumer factors in the importance of demand conditions, technology competitiveness in the ICT industry in the related and supporting industries factor, and business performance factors in the corporate strategy, structure and competition.
As a result of analyzing the significance of the determinants of national competitiveness of the IoT industry, the technical competitiveness of the ICT industry, consumer and domestic market factors are the most important 3factors for enhancing competitiveness of the IoT industry.
Originality/Value: The research originality is recognized in that it constructs the empirical model based on the Porter’s diamond model which is famous for analysis of industry competitiveness. And then, the study reveals important factors in the Korean IoT industry using AHP analysis. This study provides what resources to put in order to enhance the competitiveness of Korean IoT industry.
