초록

The concept of carrying capacity, which means the level of use that a tourist destination can maintain while continuously providing quality tourism experience, is important for the balance of conservation and utilization of heritage tourism destinations. The purpose of this study is as follows: First, physical capacity will be calculated for the Ulsan Daegokcheon Petroglyph Heritage Zone, which is seeking to be registered as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Second, this study assesses carrying capacity based on scenarios that reflect expected changes in demand and supply. As a result, in the present situation it does not exceed the appropriate physical carrying capacity. On the other hand, the results reflecting scenarios of changes in supply and demand have been found to exceed appropriate capacity. In the future, it will be necessary to develop a conservation management plan for the heritage tourism sites considering this results of carrying capacity
