초록

This study analyzes an awareness of tradition and history at the same time, how to realize his consciousness through traditional novel parody. Choi, In-hun was raised in education of colonialism during the Japanese Ruling Era when he was a childhood, in his boyhood he was in the Soviet bloc and then he had to adapt society of South Korea.
These made him be an emotional vacuum and cultural emptiness. In result, it is an main theme for him to develop Korean history by stages and establish for Korean identity.
But, he confronted the true that New Literature of the modern age was based on not real historical awareness but a kind of transplanted product. This means a historical gap and fatal limitation which it can harm their identity. Choi, In-hun thought it is important to reconstitute and restore real culture for overcoming these problem. During the Japanese Ruling Era, New Literature doesn't mean the modern age because this was considered from all points. He strenuously insist that the real Modern was established by searching newly Korean public culture through seeking our tradition.
Choi, In-hun marked new searching for the tradition and mental prototype as linking between traditional literature and modern literature.
He thought idea and matrix of lost culture is in traditional literature.
Choi used 'parody method' for newly reinterpretation as he wanted to shed new light on the reality at the time through combining custom of traditional literature with custom of our time. So he showed readers important prototype which makes the development of Korean history by stages and the establishment for Korean identity through reading traditional literature.
This argument studied a strategy for rewriting and efforts that the spirit of modern age linked a traditional awareness in Choi's parody novels especially "A Dream of Nine Clouds", "Yeolha Ilgi","Geumosinhwa ," "Nolbudeon", " Chunhyangdeon ", "Onggojibdeon".
That will be able to see Choi, In-hun's an awareness of tradition and his consciousness
