청소년들의 또래애착과 적응관련 변인들의 관계에 관한 메타분석 (Meta-analysis of Peer Attachment and Adjustment-related Variables of Adolescents)

초록

본 연구는 청소년들의 또래애착과 적응관련 변인들의 관계에 관한 메타분석을 하는 데 목적이 있다. 이를 위해 2010년부터 2018년까지 최근 9년간 국내에서 발행된 학위논문과 학술논문을 대상으로 하였으며 최종논문은 석사학위논문 157편, 박사학위논문 12편, 학술논문 124편으로 총 293편이다. 자료의 코딩방법은 Lipsy와 Wilson(2001), Cooper(2010)의 메타분석방법과 코딩절차에 따라 논문관련사항, 논문형태, 학교급별, 개별적응 유형 등으로 분류하였다. 효과크기는 상관자료를 Fisher의 Z계수로 바꾸어 계산하였으며 해석의 용이성을 위해 상관분석으로 변환하여 해석하였다. 전체효과크기와 조절변인들에 따른 효과크기는 학교급별로 다를 것으로 보고 무선효과모형으로 분석하였다. 연구결과 정적또래애착과 정적적응의 효과크기는 중간정도의 효과크기를 보였으나 정적또래애착과 부적적응, 부적또래애착과 정적적응, 부적또래애착과 부적적응은 낮은 효과크기를 보이고 있었다. 정적또래애착과 정적적응, 정적또래애착과 부적적응, 부적또래애착과 정적적응의 효과크기는 논문형태, 학교급별, 적응유형에 따라서 차이가 있는 것으로 나타났다. 부적또래애착과 부적적응의 효과크기는 학교급별에서만 차이가 있는 것으로 나타났다. 이러한 결과를 바탕으로 하여 선행연구와의 관련성, 연구의 의의, 제한점과 후속연구 등을 제시하였다.

영어초록

The purpose of the study is to conduct a meta-analysis of the relationship between peer attachment and adjustment-related variables of adolescents. This study covers masters’ theses, doctoral dissertations, and journals published in Korea for the past nine years from 2010 to 2018. The final study consisted of 293 papers, made up of 157 master's theses, 12 doctoral dissertations, and 124 journals. The coding of data classified the data by study type, school level, and individual adjustment type with criteria suggested by Lipsy and Wilson (2001), and by Cooper (2010). The effect size was calculated by Fisher's Z score and was converted to a correlation for ease of interpretation. The overall effect size and effect sizes by moderator variables were all analyzed in terms of the random effect model. The results showed that positive peer attachment and positive adjustment had medium effect size, whereas positive peer attachment and negative adjustment, negative peer attachment and positive adjustment, and negative peer attachment and negative adjustment had small effect size. As a result of examining the magnitudes of the effects by study type, school level, and adjustment type, there were significant differences in the effect sizes of positive peer attachment and positive adjustment, positive peer attachment and negative adjustment, and negative peer attachment and positive adjustment. However, there were only significant differences in the effect sizes of negative peer attachment and negative adjustment according to school level. Based on these results, we discuss the relevance with prior study, present an interpretation of the results, and discuss the significance of the outcomes.
