유아 문제행동, 아버지 양육참여가 어머니 후속출산계획 자녀수에 미치는 영향: 첫째 자녀를 둔 어머니를 대상으로 (The effect of early childhood problem behavior and paternal participation on the number of child in follow-up childbirth plan of mothers)

초록

목적 본 연구에서는 첫째 자녀를 가진 어머니를 대상으로 유아 문제행동과 아버지 양육참여가 어머니 후속출산계획 자녀수에 미치는 영향을 알아보았다.
방법 이를 위해 한국아동패널 5차 년도 자료(2012년 자료) 중에서 첫째 자녀를 가진 어머니 642명의 데이터를 활용하였다. 연구대상의 일반 특성을 알기 위해 기술통계를 실행하였고, 연구 도구의 신뢰도 검증을 위해 Cronbach α 값을 구하였다. 변인들 간의관계를 살펴보기 위해 Pearson의 적률상관계수를, 후속출산계획 자녀수에 영향을 미치는 변인들의 효과 분석을 위해 단계적 중다회귀분석을 실시하였다.
결과 첫째, 유아 문제행동은 아버지 양육참여와 후속출산계획 자녀수에 부적 상관을 나타냈다. 아버지 양육참여는 후속출산계획자녀수에 정적 상관을 나타냈다. 둘째, 유아 문제행동이 후속출산계획 자녀수에 부적 영향을 미쳤고, 아버지 양육참여는 후속출산계획 자녀수에 정적 영향을 미쳤다. 셋째, 유아 문제행동의 하위 요인 중에서 공격행동이 후속출산계획 자녀수에 부적 영향을 미쳤다.
결론 본 연구 결과는 우리나라의 출산율을 높이기 위해서는 아버지가 자녀 양육에 적극적으로 참여해야 함을 시사한다. 또한, 부모들에게 유아 문제행동에 대한 바람직한 양육 방법을 알려주어 자녀 양육에 자신감과 보람을 느끼도록 지원해야 함을 시사한다.

영어초록

Objectives This study investigated the effect of early childhood problem behavior and paternal participation on the number of child in follow-up childbirth plan of mothers.
Methods To this end, the data of 642 mothers with the first child were used among the data(data from 2012) from the 5th year of the Panel Study on Korean Children. Descriptive statistics were conducted to understand the gen eral characteristics of the study subjects, and Cronbach's alpha values were calculated to verify the reliability of the research tools. Pearson's product-moment correlation coefficient was used to examine the relationships be tween variables, and stepwise multiple regression analysis was conducted to analyze the effects of variables in fluencing the number of children planned for subsequent births.
Results As a result of the study, first, early childhood problem behavior was negatively correlated with paternal participation. Early childhood problem behavior was negatively correlated with the number of child in follow-up childbirth plan of mothers, and paternal participation was positively correlated with the number of child in fol low-up childbirth plan of mothers. Second, early childhood problem behavior negatively affected the number of child in follow-up childbirth plan of mothers. Next, paternal participation has a positive effect on the number of children in the follow-up birth plan. Third, among the sub-factors of early childhood problem behavior, aggressive behavior negatively affected the number of children in the follow-up birth plan.
Conclusions The results of this study suggest that in order to increase the fertility rate in Korea, fathers must ac tively participate in raising children. In addition, it suggests that parents should be informed of desirable parenting methods for early childhood problem behavior to support confidence in raising children.
