발달장애 자녀를 둔 가족문화에서 바라보는 부모의 양육부담이 삶의 만족에 미치는 영향: 장애수용태도의 매개효과 (The Effect of Parents' Parenting Burden on Life Satisfaction in the Family Culture of Children with Developmental Disabilities : Mediation effect of the attitude of acceptance on disability)

초록

본 연구는 발달장애인 자녀를 둔 가족은 비장애 자녀를 둔 부모에 비해 과도한 양육부담으로 인해 많은 스트레스를 경험하며 가족의 건강성이 매우 낮다는 연구결과로 인해 일반가족과 다른 가족문화를 형성한다. 따라서 발달장애 자녀를 둔 부모의 양육부담과 삶의 만족간의 영향관계를 살펴보고 장애수용태도의 매개효과를 분석하여 발달장애인 가족문화의 건강성과 관련 있는 변인을 확인하는 것에 본 연구의 목적이 있다. 이를 검증하기 위해 발달장애 자녀를 둔 부모 272명이 응답한 분석 자료를 SPSS 20 통계패키지프로그램으로 분석하였다. 자료 분석은 회귀분석(Enter)법으로 매개효과를 검증하고 Sobel-test로 매개효과 유의성을 확인하였다. 연구결과는 첫째, 양육부담과 장애수용태도는 삶의 만족과 부적 상관관계이었으며, 양육부담과 장애수용태도는 정적 상관관계로 나타났다. 둘째, 양육부담과 삶의 만족 간의 관계에서 장애수용태도와 수용, 죄책감의 하위변인은 부분매개효과가 있었으며 충격 변인은 완전매개효과가 있는 것으로 나타났다. 매개효과의 유의성 검증에서도 통계적으로 유의한 결과를 확인하였다. 이는 발달장애 자녀를 둔 부모의 양육부담과 삶의 만족 간의 관계에서 장애수용태도를 긍정적으로 갖는 것이 중요하다는 것을 확인한 결과이다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 일반가족과는 다른 독특한 가족문화를 갖고 있는 발달장애 자녀를 둔 부모의 삶의 만족을 향상시키기 위하여 장애수용태도와 역할부담을 개선하여 가족문화의 건강성을 높이기 위한 제언을 제시하였다.

영어초록

This study found that families with children with developmental disabilities experience a lot of stress due to excessive parenting burden compared to parents with children without disabilities, and their health is very low. Therefore, the purpose of this study is to identify the variables related to the health of the family culture of people with developmental disabilities by examining the relationship between parenting burden and life satisfaction of parents with children with developmental disabilities and analyzing the mediating effect of attitudes toward acceptance of disabilities. To verify this, analysis data from 272 parents of children with developmental disabilities were analyzed with the SPSS 20 statistical package program. For data analysis, the mediating effect was verified by the regression analysis (Enter) method, and the significance of the mediating effect was confirmed by the Sobel-test. The results of the study are as follows: First, the burden of childrearing and the attitude of acceptance of disabilities showed a negative correlation with life satisfaction, and the burden of childrearing and the attitude of acceptance of disabilities showed a positive correlation. Second, in the relationship between the burden of childrearing and life satisfaction, the subvariables of disability acceptance attitude, acceptance, and guilt had a partial mediating effect, while the shock variable had a complete mediating effect. Statistically significant results were also confirmed in the significance test of the mediating effect. This is the result of confirming that it is important to have a positive attitude of accepting disabilities in the relationship between the parenting burden and life satisfaction of parents with children with developmental disabilities. Therefore, in this study, in order to improve the life satisfaction of parents who have children with developmental disabilities who have a unique culture, suggestions are made to improve the health of family culture by improving the attitude of acceptance of disabilities and role burden.
