청소년 성폭력 범죄피해자 자녀를 둔 보호자의 부모교육 경험에 대한질적 사례연구 (Case study on the parent-education experience whose children are victims of juvenile sexual violence)

초록

본 연구는 자녀의 범죄피해 경험 이후 부모교육에 참여했던 보호자들의 변화된 경험을 탐구하고, 이러한 변화가 청소년 범죄피해자의 회복에 실제적 도움이 되었는지를 확인해보는데 그 목적이 있다. 이를 위해 2014년 10월부터 12월까지 약 3개월에 걸쳐 자녀가 성폭력 범죄 피해를 입고 부모교육에 참여했던 부모들 중 연구 참여에 동의한 9사례를 대상으로 사례 내 분석과 사례 간 분석을 통해 질적 사례연구를 실시하였다. 그 결과, 부모의 자녀 양육방법에 따라 자녀의 태도가 달라지고 의사소통이 원활해졌다. 또한 의사소통능력이 향상되자 가족 구성원의 관계도 유기적으로 상호작용 할 수 있게 되었다. 이외에도 부모교육으로 부모의 양육효능감과 자아존중감이 향상되었으며, 자녀의 문제행동이 감소하고 학습기술능력이 향상되는 변화를 가져왔다. 이러한 부모의 행동적, 내적 변화와 자녀의 변화를 통해 부모교육이 피해자와 보호자 모두의 회복에 긍정적인 영향을 미친다는 것을 파악할 수 있었다. 결국 본 연구는 부모교육이 청소년 성폭력 피해자의 회복을 돕고, 궁극적으로 2차 피해 예방에까지 긍정적인 역할을 수행할 수 있다는 것을 확인한 데서 기존 연구와는 차별화된 의의를 찾을 수 있다. 향후 청소년 범죄피해자의 경우, 상담 및 치료 계획에 가족을 고려한 통합적 지원체계를 구축하고, 효과적인 부모교육 프로그램을 개발ㆍ적용해나가야 할 것이다.

영어초록

The purpose of this study is: to research on transformation experience of the caregivers who had participated in the parent education after their children became victimized of the crime; and to confirm whether the change/ transformation actually contributed to the juvenile crime-victims’ recovery. For this research, we implemented a case study based on the parents of the nine cases who agreed to participate in the study, participated in the parent education for 3 months (from Oct 2014 to Dec 2014), and whose children are the victims of juvenile sexual violence. In addition, we also considered inter- and intra-case analysis during the process. According to this study, the victims were influenced by the parents, particularly in the case of victim of juvenile crime. Depend on parenting, children's attitudes and behaviors were effectively improved as well as their communication with their parents, which provides better interactions between family members. In addition, parent- education brings positive effects such as improvements on the parenting self-efficacy and self-esteem, behavioral problems were reduced, and learning abilities were improved. We found that parent-education can positively affect caregivers as well as the victims by improving children's behaviors through their parents' internal and external changes. It can be concluded that it is necessary to be able set up an integrated support system with consideration for family as well as continuous parent education during the treatment of victims. This study is significant since parent-education could help juvenile sexual violence victims' recovery and played an important role as protection from the ultimate secondary damage. In the future, the case of juvenile sexual violence victims, establishment of a family-considered integrated support system for the counseling and treatment plan and effective parent-education programs should be developed and applied for the juvenile crime-victims.
