실버유아보조강사교육 만족도 조사 (A Study on the Degree of Satisfaction in the Preschool Teacher Assistant Education Program for Senior Citizens)

초록

본 연구에서는 노인 인력을 체계적이고 전문적으로 지원하는 실버유아보조강사교육 프로그램이 노인들의 요구를 적절하게 만족시켰는지 조사하여 실버유아보조강사교육 프로그램을 보완하고 발전시키고자 할뿐만 아니라 실버유아보조강사 파견 근무 시 유아교육기관 현장에서 노인들의 특성을 적용할 수 있는 중요한 기초 자료를 제시하고자 한다. 본 연구의 결과를 보면 첫째, 연구대상자의 일반적인 특성을 살펴보면, 여자 노인보다 남자 노인의 참여수가 약간 높았고, 65~74세의 중ㆍ고령 노인의 비율이 가장 높게 나타났다. 연구대상자 대부분 고졸 이상이었고, 대학원 이상의 학력을 소지하신 노인들도 참여하신 것으로 나타나 전반적으로 연구대상자 대부분 높은 학력을 소지하신 분들이 참여했음을 알 수 있다. 둘째, 연구대상자의 실버유아보조강사교육 참여 동기는 유아들에게 관심이 있어서와 새로운 정보와 지식을 얻기 위해서가 대부분으로 참여하신 노인들은 실버유아보조강사교육을 통해 노인들의 자기개발기회와 유아에게 경륜이 포함된 전문분야 교육을 제공하고자 히는 욕구가 있다고 볼 수 있다. 실버유아보조강사교육 참여한 후 교육에 참여한 노인들 대부분은 만족함을 나타났고, 만족한 이유로는 새로운 정보를 얻을 수 있어서와 여가시간을 유용하게 할 수 있어 서로 나타난 것으로 보아 실버유아보조강사교육 프로그램은 노인들의 특성과 사회적인 요구의 특성을 잘 고려한 프로그램으로서 만족도가 높은 프로그램이라고 할 수 있다. 셋째, 연구대상자들에게 추후 실버유아보조강사교육이 실시될 경우의 요구사항으로는 근무기간은 10일, 교육시간은 4시간 이내를 요구하는 것으로 나타났고, 희망파견근무횟수로는 주 3회로 나타났고, 희망파견근무시간은 2~3시간으로 나타났다. 또한 실버유아보조강사교육 후 파견근무를 참여하고 싶은 노인 97%로 대부분의 노인들이 실버유아보조강사를 희망하고 있다는 것을 알 수 있었다.

A Preschool Teacher Assistant Education Program for Senior Citizens which was intended to systematically and professionally support the elderly labor force was developed and operated. Then, by examining whether this program appropriately satisfied the demands of the senior citizen, this study aims to further complement and develop the Preschool Teacher Assistant Education Program for Senior Citizens and to provide a important basic data on the characteristics of the elderly labor force to be applied to the field of Preschool educational institutions when senior citizens are sent to work as Preschool Teacher Assistants.
The findings of this study are as follows.
Research subjects" general characteristics such as sex and age showed that the percentage of men(52%) was a little higher than that of women(48%), and the mid-old population between ages 65 to 74 was the largest group(74%)In terms of co-habitants, the percentage of those who live with their spouses was highest(49%). Regarding educational attainment and occupation, most subjects(82%) had high school diplomas or more including some senior citizens with postgraduate education(92%). When asked about their motives of participating the Preschool Teacher Assistant Education Program for Senior Citizens, 41% of research subjects answered because they were interested in preschool children and 36% of them said "because they want to learn new information and knowledge," Regarding participation paths, the highest rate of subjects(63%) found the path to participate in the program through local Social Welfare Centers. After attending the Preschool Teacher Assistant Education Program for Senior Citizens, almost all research participants(97%) expressed that they were satisfied with the program "because they were able to learn new information"(33%) and "because they could spend their leisure time usefully"(26%). Thus, through the education program, most research subjects could have "meaningful leisure time"(33%) and "acquirement of new knowledge"(28%). For a future Preschool Teacher Assistant Education Program for Senior Citizens, the research subjects requested that the program last within 10 days(45%) and 4 hours a day(87%). The most desired number of working days was three days a week(82%) and the desired number of working hours was two or three hours a day(62%). Also, 97/% of research subjects expressed that, they want to be employed after the Preschool Teacher Assistant Education Program for Senior Citizens, indicating that most elderly labor force wish to work as Preschool Teacher Assistants.
