특수학교 전공과 지적장애학생의 여가생활 만족도와 학교생활 만족도 및 취업욕구와의 관계 (The Relationship among the Leisure Life Satisfaction Level, School Life Satisfaction Level, and Employment Desire of Students in the Vocational Courses of Special Schools)

초록

본 연구는 특수학교 전공과 지적장애학생의 여가생활 실태, 여가생활 만족도와 학교생활 만족도와의 관계, 그리고 여가생활 만족도와 취업욕구와의 관계를 알아보는데 목적이 있다. 본 연구는 전국 6 개 특수학교 전공과의 지적장애학생 92명을 대상으로 여가생활 실태, 여가생활 만족도, 학교생활 만족도, 그리고 취업욕구에 대한 설문조사를 실시하여 그 관계를 분석하였다. 연구 결과, 특수학교 전공과에 소속된 지적장애학생은 평일보다 주말에 여가활동을 하는 시간이 많았고, 주로 가정에서 여가활동을 즐기며, 특히 TV시청을 많이 하는 것으로 나타났다. 특수학교 전공과 지적장애학생의 여가생활 만족도는 학교생활 만족도와 높은 상관관계를 보여, 여가생활 만족도가 높을수록 학교생활에 대한 만족도가 높은것으로 나타났다. 그러나 여가생활 만족도와 취업욕구 간에는 통계적으로 유의미한 상관관계를 나타내지 않았다. 특수학교 전공과 지적장애학생이 보다 만족스러운 여가생활을 할 수 있도록 교육적인 측면뿐만 아니라 사회․제도적인 측면에서의 개선이 이루어져야 할 것이다.

영어초록

The purpose of this research was to investigate the status of leisure life and to analyze the correlation between the level of leisure life satisfaction, level of school life satisfaction and the employment desire of students with intellectual disabilities in the vocational course of the special schools. The research was conducted a survey to analyze those relationships, targeting on 92 students with intellectual disabilities from six vocational courses of the special schools. The questionnaire was about the status of leisure life, level of leisure life satisfaction, level of school life satisfaction, and the employment desire. The result showed that the students with intellectual disabilities in the vocational course of the special schools were more inclined to spend their leisure time on the weekend rather than weekdays, usually at home, especially for enjoying watching TV a lot. There was a high correlation level between the level of leisure life satisfaction and school life satisfaction of the students with intellectual disabilities in the vocational course of the special schools, which means the higher level of leisure life satisfaction, the higher level of school life satisfaction follows. But the correlation between the level of leisure life satisfaction and the employment desire was not statistically significant. These results implied that there must be an improvement of an institution in educational dimension as well as institutional one to have better leisure lives for the students with intellectual disabilities in the vocational course of the special schools.
