정신지체 특수학교 교사가 인식하는 ‘좋은 수업’의 특징에 대한 중요도와 실행도 분석 (Analysis of Importance and Performance on the Traits of Good Instruction Recognized by Special Education Teachers in Special Schools for Students with Intellectual Disabilities)

초록

이 연구의 목적은 정신지체 특수학교 교사들이 인식하는 좋은 수업의 중요도와 실행도를 살펴봄으로써, 특수교육에서의 좋은 수업 실천과 관련 연구를 위한 기초 정보를 제공하는데 있다. 이를 위하여 전국의 정신지체 특수학교에서 근무하는 초․중․고등부 234명의 교사가 응답한 설문지를 분석하였다. 연구 결과, 정신지체 특수학교 교사들은 첫째, ‘구성관점’과 ‘관계관점’, ‘기능적 교육과정 구성’, ‘수행평가’의 중요도와 실행도를 가장 높게 인식하고 있는 것으로 나타났으며, ‘선택의 기회 제공’과 ‘수업과 교육 내용의 조직화’에 대한 중요도, ‘학생간의 상호작용’에 대한 실행도를 높게 인식하고 있는 것으로 나타났다. 둘째, 향후 개선에 노력을 집중해야 할 특징으로는 ‘흥미와 동기를 자극하는 방법’, ‘장애의 다양성 및 개별 학생의 특성을 반영하는 수업’, ‘다양한 교육방법을 활용하는 수업’, ‘민주적이고 허용적이며 학생과 교사가 신뢰하는 분위기’, ‘수행평가’가 제시되었다. 후속 연구에서는 좋은 수업에 대하여 중요하다고 인식하고 있음에도 실천이 이루어지지 않는 부분을 구체적으로 분석하고 그 해결 방안을 마련해야 할 것이다.

영어초록

The purpose of this study is to provide the basic information on good instruction and related studies in special education of intellectual disabilities through reviewing the importance and performance of good instruction which special education teachers recognize. For this study, the survey was done by a total of 224 questionnaires collected and analyzed from special education school teachers for students with intellectual disabilities of elementary, middle, and high school in the whole country. Based on the survey, the conclusion was analyzed as follows.
First, after analyzing the priorities of importance and performance, the degree of importance and performance in construction viewpoint and relation viewpoint had a high score; the degree of importance and performance in the functional curriculum had also a high score; the degree of importance and performance in performance assessment had also a high score; the degree of the importance in both providing the opportunity for choice and organization of curriculum for class and instruction, and the degree of performance in interaction between students had a high score. Second, the features requiring the improvement in the future has been found as it follows: the method for stimulating the interest and motivation, the instruction reflecting the variety of disabilities and each student’s personality, the instructions utilizing the various teaching methods, the instruction having democratic and permissive atmosphere in class, and performance assessment.
Based on the results of this study, despite the fact that they recognize the importance of good instruction, the detailed analysis and solution should be prepared for the lack of practices.
