어린이무용극에서 춤과 구연동화의 역할 연구: 대전시립무용단 ‘춤으로 그리는 동화’ 중심으로 (A Study on the Role of Dance and Storytelling in Children’s Dance Drama)

초록

연구목적: 본 연구는 어린이 정서에 맞는 무용수 개발에 도움을 주며, 다양한 어린이무용극 작품개발의 기초자료를 제시하는데 의의가 있다. 연구방법: 이 연구는 2018년 11월 12일∼29일 동안 전문무용수 15명을 중심으로 심층면담을 통해 어린이무용극에서 춤과 구연동화의 역할 및 효과, 무용공연을 수행하는 무용수가 느끼는 구연동화에대한 인식을 파악하였다. 또한 심층 면담의 중심적인 내용을 텍스트마이닝 분석으로 데이터를 시각화하였다. 연구결과: 첫째, 어린이무용극에서 구연동화는 무용수의 표현적인 움직임을 전달, 무용극을 장으로 나누어 스토리 전개를 연결, 구연동화의 스토리 전달이 극의 사실감을 높이고, 장면을 연결, 어린이 관객의 지루함을 방지하여 공연의 이해도를 높이고 몰입감 있게 만드는 역할이다. 구연동화의 효과는 구연의 요소가 감정을 전달, 장면 전환의설명, 코믹하고 마임 같은 동작을 효과적으로 표현하는 무용수의 움직임과 캐릭터를 부각시키는 효과를 지닌다.
둘째, 구연 의지 및 긍정적 인식, 잘못 표현된 구연 설명과 비중의 문제, 구연동화에 의한 춤의 변위, 구연동화의비중에 대한 대안이 도출되었다. 결론: 구연동화는 어린이무용극에서 어린이 관객의 작품 이해와 극의 스토리 전개에 도움을 주는 역할과 무용수의 감정전달, 움직임, 캐릭터를 부각시키는 효과를 지닌다. 또한 어린이무용극에서 구연동화는 많은 비중을 차지하며 무용수도 구연에 의존하여 마임적인 움직임과 표현을 대신하고 있음을 알수 있다. 반면, 대안으로 춤의 움직임에 충실한 작품개발의 필요성과 충분한 예산, 시간 등의 제약조건의 문제가해결된다면 어린이무용극의 구연동화와 구연의 도움 없이 춤으로만 어린이무용극을 만들어질 수 있다는 의견이제시되었다.

영어초록

Purpose: This study is meaningful in investigating the role and effect of dance and narrated fairy tales in children’s dance dramas, helping develop dancers suitable for children’s emotions, and presenting basic data for the development of various children’s dance dramas. Methods: This study identified the role and effect of dance and narrated fairy tales in children’s dance dramas and the perception of narrated fairy tales felt by dancers performing dance performances through in-depth interviews with 15 professional dancers from November 12 to 29, 2018. In addition, the central content of the in-depth interview was visualized by text mining analysis. Result: First, narrated fairy tales in children’s dance dramas convey the expressive movements of dancers, connect the story development by dividing the dance drama into chapters, and deliver the story of narrated fairy tales to increase the play’s realism, connect the scene, and prevent the boredom of children’s audiences. The effect of narrating fairy tales has the effect of highlighting the dancer’s movements and characters in which the elements of narrating convey emotions, explain scene transitions, and effectively express comical and mime-like movements. Second, alternatives to the will and positive perception of narration, the problem of misrepresented narration explanation and weight, the displacement of dance by narration, and the proportion of narration were derived. Conclusion: In children’s dance dramas, narrated fairy tales have the effect of highlighting the role of helping children’s audiences understand the work and develop the story of the play, as well as the emotional transmission, movement, and character of the dancer. In addition, it can be seen that narration fairy tales account for a large proportion of children’s dance dramas, and dancers also rely on narration to replace mime movements and expressions. On the other hand, it was suggested that children’s dance dramas could be created only with dance without the help of narration and narration of children’s dance dramas if the need to develop works faithful to dance movements, sufficient budget, and time were resolved.
