전통춤 생활예술공동체의 지속가능성: 을숙도무용단 사례를 중심으로 (Sustainability of Traditional Dance with Living Art in the Community: A Case of Eulsukdo Dance Company)

초록

본 연구의 목적은 생활예술공동체로서 지역민의 향유와 참여 두 가지 역할을 동시에 가지고 있다고 고려되는 부산 을숙도무용단의 사례를 중심으로 생활예술공동체의 지속가능성을 살펴보는 데 있다. 이를 위해 연구문제는 첫째 을숙도무용단이 지속가능한 생활예술공동체로 어떠한 과정을 거치면서 성장하는가, 둘째 을숙도무용단원들에게 중요한 가치는 무엇인가, 셋째 을숙도무용단의 공진화 과정에서 나타나는 개인 가치는 공진화와 어떠한 상관관계가 있는가이다. 을숙도무용단원 18명을 심층 인터뷰하였으며, 가치관계를 분석하였다. 연구결과 첫째, 을숙도무용단의 지속가능성은 생활예술공동체 공진화 5단계의 반복과정 중에 나타난다. 둘째, 을숙도무용단의 가치를 카흘의 LOV로 살펴보면, 동기영역은 내부가치>외부가치>인간관계가치>사회가치 순으로 가치기능이 높았고 세부가치는 생활의 즐거움>자기만족>성취감⋅자기존중>생활의 자극 순이다. 셋째, 을숙도무용단의 공진화 과정에서 나타나는 개인 가치는 1~3단계에서 전체적으로 완만히 상승하다가 4단계 ‘예술적 생산하기’에서 모든 가치 수준이 급격히 올라가고, 이어 5단계에서 가치 수준이 대체로 유지되면서 2단계로 연결됨을 알 수 있다. 결론적으로 을숙도무용단은 생활예술공동체의 공진화 5단계 반복과정을 거치며, 생활의 즐거움과 내부가치가 높은 ‘자발적 참여로 이어지는지속가능한 생활예술공동체’로 나아가고 있다.

영어초록

The purpose of this study is to examine the sustainability of the living art community, focusing on the case of the Busan Eulsukdo Dance Company, which is considered to have both the roles of enjoyment and participation by local residents as a living art community. To this end, the research questions are: First, what process does Eulsukdo Dance Company grow through as a sustainable living art community, second what are important values for Eulsukdo Dance Company members, and third, what kind of correlation does the personal value appear in the process of co-evolution of Eulsukdo Dance Company with co-evolution? is there a relationship. In-depth interviews were conducted with 18 members of the Eulsukdo Dance Company, and the value relationship was analyzed. Research Results First, the sustainability of the Eulsukdo Dance Company appears during the iterative process of 5 stages of co-evolution of the living art community. Second, looking at the value of the Eulsukdo Dance Company through Kahl's LOV, the motivational domain had the highest value function in the order of internal value>external value>interpersonal value>social value, and the detailed value was the enjoyment of life>self-satisfaction>a sense of achievement/self-esteem>life in the order of stimulation. Third, the individual values appearing in the process of co-evolution of the Eulsukdo Dance Company gradually rise in steps 1 to 3, and then in step 4, ‘artistic production’, all values rise sharply, and then in step 5, the value levels are generally maintained and connected to the second stage can be known. In conclusion, the Eulsukdo Dance Company goes through a five-step iterative process of co-evolution of the living art community, and is moving toward a ‘sustainable living art community that leads to voluntary participation’ with high enjoyment of life and high internal value.
