효과적인 단회기 협의이혼 상담프로그램의 모색 (Development and Validation of the Effective Single Session Divorce Counseling Program)

초록

이 연구의 목적은 이혼을 준비 중인 부부를 위한 단회기 협의이혼의무상담 프로그램을 구안하고 실제 적용하여 그 효과를 분석하는 데 있다. 1회의 의무상담 기회가 제공되는 가정법원의 실정에 맞춘 단회기 협의이혼 상담프로그램을 구안한 뒤, 2017년 3월에서 5월까지 총 16쌍에게 프로그램 모형에 따른 상담을 시행하였고 그중 12쌍에게 만족도 조사를 요청하여 그 결과를 분석하였다. 본 프로그램은 의무 상담에 대한 편견을 완화하고, 협의이혼을 신청한 부부가 상담을 통해 당사자 및 자녀 등 가족복지에 가장 적합한 선택을 하여 합리적인 의사결정 및 협력적인 부모역할을 찾고, 이혼 신청자를 위한 후속상담 프로그램에 참여하기를 장려하는 내용으로 이루어졌다. 그 세부 내용은 협의이혼상담에 대한 간략한 소개 및 상담의 목적을 설명하고 라포를 형성하는 상담 전 단계, 기관 제공 공식서류 작성 및 이혼 사유를 탐색하는 시작 단계, 이혼 사유별 합리적 의사결정 여부와 자녀양육 및 친권, 양육권, 면접교섭권에 대한 협력적 부모역할 찾기를 돕는 중간 단계, 이혼 사유 및 의사결정에 따른 피드백 제공과 추수면담의사여부를 확인하는 종결 단계로 구성되었다. 본고에서 제시하는 단회기 구조화된 협의이혼상담프로그램의 기대 효과는 다음과 같이 제시될 수 있다. 첫째, 협의이혼상담의 효과성을 제고한다. 둘째, 합리적인 의사결정에 도움을 준다. 셋째, 부모의 이혼으로 미성년 자녀에게 발생하는 부수적인 피해를 최소화할 수 있다. 넷째, 부부 관계가 부부간의 상호 작용으로 구성되어 있음을 인정하도록 도와 협력적인 부모역할 찾기에 도움을 줄 수 있다. 마지막으로, 숙려기간 동안 후속 전문상담 서비스로 연결하여 각 당사자에게 맞는 변화를 더 이어갈 수 있다.

영어초록

The purpose of this study was to develop a single session divorce counseling program for couples preparing for divorce and to analyze the effects of the application. After building a divorce counseling program in accordance with the rules of the family court, which provides one mandatory counseling opportunity, 16 couples have completed divorce compulsory counseling from March to May of 2017, 12 out of the 16 couples responded to satisfaction survey and the results were analyzed. The program was designed to help divorce applicants alleviate their prejudice against mandatory counseling and seek rational decision and collaborative parenting through the counseling which ensuring the right choice for the welfare of the couples, their children and other family members. The program may also facilitate participation in a follow-up counseling program. The details consist of 4 stages: a pre-counseling stage which includes brief introduction to divorce counseling, the purpose of counseling, and building rapport, a beginning stage of making official documents and searching for reasons for divorce, an intermediate stage that helps to find a rational decision making by reasons of divorce and to find a cooperative parent role for child rearing, parental rights, custody and visitation rights, a closing stage to confirm the choice of follow-up counseling program and to provide feedback on the reason for the divorce and the decision making. The expected effect of the structured single session divorce counseling program developed in this study can be presented as follows: First, the program could increase the effectiveness of the consultation divorce counseling. Second, the program could help the couples to make reasonable decision. Third, the program could minimize collateral damage caused by parental divorce to minor children. Fourth, the program would help to find a cooperative parent role by helping to recognize that marital relations are composed of interactions between husband and wife. Lastly, during the consideration period the program could offer a follow-up professional counseling to applicants who complete compulsory counseling to make the appropriate changes continually.
